From Darkness To Light Jeff Harshbarger
Jeff Harshbarger and I have been internet friends for a year or two and we share a common heritage in Jesus Christ. I've always been interested in his ministry because Jeff isn't puffed up like a lot of people can become when they get a website or write a book. He's just a normal everyday sort of guy who loves Jesus. So, when he wrote to me and asked me to read the book and advertise it on The Delusion Resistance, I had no reservations about doing so. I can say without hesitation, that once you've read his book you'll be glad that you purchased it. The book is separated into three basic parts. The first part is Jeff's detailed biography. I always like when an author includes a biography because you can get an idea about how that person has gained the knowledge and expertise to write about their book's subject matter. You can see the events that happened in Jeff's life that led him down certain avenues and how God used those avenues to bring Jeff to the correct course. I also could identify with many of the things that happened to Jeff and that made me a participant of the story rather than just a reader. The second part of the book is dedicated to educating the reader about some of the more active cults and religions that help to make up the New Age. Jeff does a great job at tying them all together and ascribing the authorship of these cults and religions to the author of all lies and falsities. He spends just enough time in each subject. The reader becomes well informed without becoming bored. He takes into account that the reader can be educated without going into long and monotonous diatribes on the subject matter. The third part of the book is dedicated to helping loved ones of those involved in Satanic cults and religions. Jeff first talks about how to be a good witness. He then goes into various age groups from children through the teen years and also into the adult realm. Jeff gives a lot of good tips about how to specially approach every group, not in an offensive way, but in in a loving manner. At the end of the the third section Jeff presents some success stories of people who have overcome their bondage to Satanism and the occult. He finishes up the book with a description of the ministry, where he talks about his mission its work. And like every true believer who really cares, he offers his services to those who might need a bit more information or who may need more help. MY RECOMMENDATION: So as you can tell, I think this is a great book. We all either have someone in our family or know of someone who is involved in the occult. Consider this book a primer for helping them to escape from their bondage. And again, it wasn't written by someone who's just done research in the matter; it was written by someone who lived the lifestyle and knows all that there is to know about it. I have a feeling that this book will be a blessing to many families and will heal relationships, and it will lead many captives out of captivity. Good work Jeff.
