When you feel compelled to study a subject and you feel so compassionate about it you hope to find others who are just as compassionate in their study of the matter. You also look for others who have, through that compassion, felt the unction to publish their findings. This not only helps you with your study, but it helps you to compare notes. There is a great comfort in knowing that others are in one accord with your way of thinking and the truth. When however their way of thinking mirrors what you have concluded then it bears even more witness that your study is being guided not by your own intellect, but in the case of the Holy things of Yahweh, you know that you're being guided by what we Hebrews call the Ruach Ha Kodesh; commonly known as the Holy Spirit. So with great interest I ordered Mr. Mott's book and I have to tell you, I could not put it down. I was reading about stories and events that not only mimicked my own beliefs, but that put many puzzle pieces into the puzzle that Yahweh has put in front of me. His thoughts and research about underworldly inhabitants, abduction throughout the ages as well as myths and legends from other cultures ALL bore witness to me that I was not on some strange fringe of Messianic thought where abduction and supposed aliens were concerned; but on the contrary, his book showed me that we were on the side of normalcy and the pastors, lay people and even secular people who mocked me (us) all of these years were so far to the other side of the garment that they were not even on the garment, so to speak. When Cavern's Cauldrons and Concealed Creatures first arrived I was happy, like a very hungry man who enters a hamburger joint and relishes all of the wonderful aromas there; but I was in for a better surprise. I wasn't offered just a plain old burger; but a waiter came and offered me a five course meal with the best food that can be found. It was like expecting clothes for Hanukkah and then getting every toy that you have ever wanted. While I was thinking of what to write I decided that since I had compared this book to a fine meal when expecting a hamburger that perhaps I had tipped you off to too much about this book. After all, if you're going to eat this book (metaphor only) then why should I tell you about the surprise meal that you're going to get, right? All that I feel led to do is to tell you that Mr. Mott does a wonderful job at explaining all of the mythical creatures we've read about in our childhood, and many that we never heard about in western society. He has done a fantastic job at correlating them with modern day delusions and deceptions and I'll say that after reading this book you'll see things through different but blessed eyes, and a have imparted unto you a lot of knowledge that you didn't have before you read his book.
