THE FABRIC OF TIME AND SPACE
A Biblical Perspective

By David Ben Yakov

If you've been around for any length of time or have taken any science classes or have watched any science fiction you will have heard the phrase "space time," spoken of. If you're even more versed in these things, you've heard the phrase "the fabric of time and space." These things have always intrigued me because when one thinks of outer space and time we really don't think of fabric. When we think of space we think of an endless dark vacuum that contains stars, planets and lots of void. When we think of time, we think of perhaps history, the time span of a loved one or maybe even how long it will take to get to work if the rush hour traffic is bad that particular morning. And, when we think of fabric, we think of garments or if we've been the outdoors type, we think of a tent or maybe a hot air balloon.

In a prior article on this website we talked about how one day, when the world is at its very worse, Yahweh (The Lord God of Israel) is going to step in and end time. It is the contention of some of us that HE is going to do this, perhaps in response to an attempt by Satan or one of his minions to travel back in time to try to change history and even in a vain attempt to usurp El Shaddai from HIS throne.

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners? Isaiah 14:12-17

As far as I've ascertained by my study of scripture, Satan has never tried to accomplish this fete yet, but I do feel that he's going to foolishly try it. In essence, he's going to try to tweak the space-time continuum. But as for any more mention of that, the other article can be read.

THE UNIVERSE - A FABRIC?

If anyone has done any degree of reading on space-time, one has read that there are theories that tears can develop in the fabric of space-time. To get a better degree of understanding about what fabric really is, I've gone to an online dictionary and looked up the word "fabric," obtaining the following result:

Main Entry: fab·ric
Pronunciation:
'fa-brik
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle French fabrique, from Latin fabrica workshop, structure
1 a : structure, building b : underlying structure : framework <the fabric of society>
2 : an act of constructing : erection; specifically : the construction and maintenance of a church building
3 a : structural plan or style of construction b : texture, quality -- used chiefly of textiles c : the arrangement of physical components (as of soil) in relation to each other
4 a : cloth 1a: a material that resembles cloth
5 : the appearance or pattern produced by the shapes and arrangement of the crystal grains in a rock

The best definition for "fabric," where time and space is concerned, is that of a cloth. Framework could be a possibility, but when one sees how the word "fabric," is used in scientific circles, "framework," has to be omitted. When one thinks of framework, they think of the very guts of something. I think of the framework of the house, or perhaps one could use the skeleton of the human anatomy to show what framework means. Several science websites that I visited mentioned that the authors thought that what have become known as "black holes" might be a tear in the fabric of time and space. One black hold wouldn't tear the whole framework (what holds the rest together) of space-time fabric.

One might try to make the argument that the definition "structural plan or style of construction" might adequately explain what the fabric means. Well, having worked in construction, I am accustomed to these words. The "plan" is just another word for the blueprint of the construction project. You can tear a blueprint but it won't effect the way that things will ultimately turn out. "Style of construction" wouldn't work either because the universe is constructed already, and changing the style would effect changes in the entire construction project, meaning the whole universe. Hence, the only good explanation for fabric would be to describe it as cloth.

It should also be noted that when scientific minds talk about the fabric of time and space, they talk about wrinkling space time or other such things. Wrinkling doesn't fit into the other definitions either. Cloth can indeed be wrinkled and millions of dollars each year is spent in taking out the wrinkles in clothing. The more one thinks about it, the more one comes to the conclusion that the fabric of space can only fit into a cloth analogy.

Gravity affects space-time and causes wrinkles. As mentioned above, objects that science reckons to be black holes are massive wrinkles in space-time. Other objects bend light as they wrinkle space. Below is some information taken from an educational site; the web address is: http://fermat.nap.edu/html/oneuniverse/linked_motion_40-41.html and they seem to give a layman's view on the subject matter. Note: I copied the article from the site because educational websites are like their institutions, sort of quirky, and pages tend to go down as fast as they go up.

According to Einstein, living in the universe is like living on a huge piece of soft elastic rubber. Space-Time is a medium that has shape and form. Objects within this medium can flex and twist it. Every object in the universe pulls on the space around it, drawing the fabric of Space-Time toward its center. The more massive the object, the more it pulls. The amount of pull exerted by an object on the universal fabric is its gravitational force. So the apple falls to Earth because Earth has warped Space-Time in such a way that the apple must move toward Earth's center. More massive planets create a deeper warp, imparting a faster acceleration to objects that wander past. The physicist John Wheeler captured these odd notions perfectly: "Matter tells space how to curve, and curved space tells matter how to move."

Gravity and LIGHT

Just as remarkably, gravity works not only on objects but also on light. After all, like apples and cannonballs, light travels through Space-Time, too. A massive body, such as a star, bends a passing beam of light much as a subtle curve in a putting green bends a golf ball toward the hole. Einstein calculated exactly how much our Sun would deflect starlight in this way. He predicted that the effect should be noticeable during a solar eclipse. In 1919 the British astrophysicist Sir Arthur Eddington set up expeditions to Africa and South America to look for changes in the positions of stars near the Sun during a total eclipse. The displacements were extremely small, an angle less than the thickness of a dime as viewed across a football field. Even so, they matched Einstein's prediction. At that moment, Einstein became an international celebrity. Such a displacement of light is called "Gravitational Lensing." It occurs throughout the universe. Massive objects act like handheld glass lenses, magnifying and distorting light waves  from the stars and galaxies behind them.

And in another article, published by the European Space Agency, we read:

RIPPLES IN SPACE TIME:

The collision of distant black holes generates gravitational waves, ripples in space-time.

Space-time can be thought of as a 'fabric' in which the objects of the Universe are embedded. Those objects - stars, planets, black holes - make space-time curve in upon itself, just as an elastic fabric holding a ball would do. The more massive the object, the deeper the curve - the same as in a fabric! This is, at least, what Albert Einstein wrote more than eight decades ago. Many of the predictions derived from his theory have been proven already, but not all. For instance: Einstein predicted that if two very massive bodies moved, they would cause 'ripples' in the space-time continuum; moreover, those ripples would propagate at the speed of light, alternately stretching and squeezing space. These waves, called gravitational waves, have never been detected. The technology to do it was simply not ready.

ESA's mission LISA, scheduled for launch in 2014, aims to detect gravitational waves. It will be a new way to 'sense' the Universe. By perceiving the movement of very massive objects within a radius of billions of light-years humans will be able to detect some of the most amazing events in the Universe, such as the collision of two distant black holes.

LISA-Pathfinder, due to be launched in 2009, will demonstrate the technology needed for LISA. For LISA to work properly scientists must be able to guarantee that a solid body can float freely in space completely undisturbed, its trajectory always constant. They will also have to be able to control the spacecraft position with an accuracy of a few millionths of a millimetre. These are the technologies to be tested in the 'LISA Technology Package', onboard LISA-Pathfinder.

I propose that the reason why two bodies colliding in space-time don't create ripples (that have been detected) is because instead of the fabric being a rubber or elastic fabric, like science seems to promote, it is more like a cloth fabric. Granted, there are soft elastic materials that absorb shock. One can be seen on American television in an advertisement for a bed that claims that it is made of a space age elastic foam. They show a girl jumping on the bed next to a glass of wine and you can barely see the glass move. But if you look at the glass, you can see ripples in the wine; they're faint, but they're there. One has to take into account too that the foam that the young lady is jumping on is aiding in her ability to jump, being that it is slightly elastic.

But what if the lady was jumping on a bed that was made of layers upon layers of cloth; perhaps twenty or thirty down comforters. The young lady would have a horrible time trying to jump because the comforters would use up a lot of the energy that her muscles produced to make her jump. Also, when she landed back down on the comforters she would land in a texture that is so soft and thick that it would totally absorb her impact. Being inquisitive I decided to try the experiment myself. I put a thick layer of what is called egg-crate foam on the floor. Near the edge of the foam I put a glass of water. The foam was roughly the size of a piece of sheetrock, around four by six feet (24 square feet) in area. This was the softest elastic type of foam I was able to find. I dropped different objects of different weights on the foam and, depending on the size of the object, the glass either moved or ripples developed in water ladened glass. I then took three thick comforters (that's all I had at home) and placed them one on top of the other. They were all king size comforters. I placed the glass in roughly the same area, pressing it down firmly so that it would not tip on its own. Dropping the same objects on the comforters produced what I thought it would. Only when the heaviest objects were dropped in the center of the set-up did the water in the glass show ripples, and they were but minor ripples.

To further satisfy my curiosity, I took a tennis ball and dropped it on each combination. The egg-crate foam allowed the ball to bounce back a little, but when I dropped the ball on the three comforter combination the ball just fell into the fabric, which absorbed all of the energy of the falling ball. Hence, cloth fabric works out better in the scenario.

WORM-HOLES, TUNNELS AND WAVES:

Even modern day science uses another cloth related analogy to describe what they purpose might be a way to move through space without having to travel in a straight line for many month or years. Science is currently exploring whether anomalies called "worm holes" are real and if so, if they will be reliable ways to move through space. In many parts of the world there is a pest known as a clothes moth. The moth prefers wool but can lay its eggs on other fabric materials. The moth doesn't eat the material, but it lays a larva that burrow its way through the clothing, making what many call "worm holes" in the fabric. Are you starting to get the correlation here? Now, let's say that you have a wool sweater that falls to the floor in the closet. The way it lands causes a large wrinkle, so much so, that the bottom of the sweater is touching the collar of the garment. The worm, if hatched at the bottom of the sweater would start eating at the bottom and soon arrive at the collar. Had there not been a wrinkle in the garment and the worm had started at the bottom with the intention of reaching the collar before it was finished, it would have taken the worm a very long time, maybe even longer than its life time. But, because of the large wrinkle, it made the journey in a day or two. It would work the same way with a wrinkle in the space-time fabric, should a "worm hole" in that fabric be found.

Actually, engineers have been making "worm holes" for many years; we call them tunnels. We find them in many mountainous areas of the world. Living in California, with all of it's mountains and mountain roads, I can really appreciate tunnels. Tunnels speed up travel. It's much easier to drive through a mountain than to take the winding roads with their many switchbacks, turns and possible hazards. The mountain is wrinkle in the earth's crust and the tunnel is the worm hole.

Having lived at the Jersey Shore (New Jersey, not the Isle of Jersey) for a few years I saw this born out in the ocean. We used to like to body surf the waves back into the shore. The hard part was to get out beyond where the waves crested so that you could pick up a fresh wave. While going out to that point we would have to contend with the waves that were cresting and crashing near the shore. It didn't take us long to learn that it was much easier to dive underneath a cresting wave then to fight it by trying to strain against the force of the wave. In a sense, we created our own mini worm holes.

There is one factor that we have to take into account when talking about a wrinkle in time, or the larva eating the wool or even the wave. In the middle of the wrinkle there is a space where the two sides of the wrinkle are apart from each other. For instance, with the sweater, there is a place where the fabric of the bottom touches the fabric of the collar. Now the space might be miniscule, but it is still a space. Between the waves is what is called the trough, pronounced {trawf}, that is a low spot. Right in the middle of that trough there are eddies and micro-currents that are made from each wave. Even in a bed sheet wrinkle there would have to be a space.

Now in order to have a proper space-time fabric wrinkle (one that provide most benefit), the wrinkle can't be like diving under a wave or conveying in a tunnel through a mountain. Gravity causes mountains and waves to be wider at the bottom and narrower at the top. The wrinkle that you'd need is like one that you'd find if a garment was thrown into a heap, like the description of the sweater in the upward part of this document, or as is illustrated above. The illustration above shows how such a wrinkle would be beneficial by reducing the travel length and time.

The photograph below is an actual wrinkle in a wool garment. I couldn't provide the moth larva or the results of such an animal's effects against a garment. Let's look at the picture then look at some of the implications if the representation of such a wrinkle occurred in the fabric of time and space.

Now if you were that worm and you wanted to eat your way from the earth position to the destination, which way would you go. Remember that moth larva have a short span in that form before metamorphoses turns them into a moth. Of course, you'd want to eat through the bottom because that would get you from point "a" to point "b" the quickest. At least that is what I would do. I realize that not everyone thinks like I do.

But what would you find when you got to the middle of the wrinkle? You'd find a space. It might be a very narrow space, but you'd come to a point where you'd find a different environment in the situation. That presents a problem in the space-time fabric scenario. This area would be a gap in time and space, or dare we suggest it's another dimension? This dimension wouldn't be eternity itself, but another reality within our own universe. My suggestion is that this might be the alternate reality that beings like demons and angels (the fallen angels) happen to inhabit.

DO SCIENCE AND SCRIPTURE AGREE?

Well, anyone who takes the Bible seriously and gives it a good and honest scientific study will come to the conclusion that "real science" and scripture agree more often than not. Many early scientists were Christians. One that comes immediately to mind was Sir Isaac Newton, the man who defined gravity. It was only when science started to recognize theory to be law (as in evolution) that science and true scriptural interpretation started to part ways. And it wasn't the scripture that changed, but scientific thought changed to make room for people who want to advance their preconceived notions.

As noted above, my interpretation of the universe, based on scriptural proofs is that the universe, instead of being like a large piece of soft elastic rubber, is more like a very large cloth blanket, maybe like the blanket that is on your bed. In the Bible verses found below you will see what I'm talking about. In either case, Yahweh describes it as cloth, so I have to go with HIS take on the matter, especially since HE is the one that created it in the first place.

Picture if you will a large blanket with nothing around it, like it is floating perfectly flat in a room that is white, but the room is so large that no walls, floor or ceiling are discernable. I use the image of a room because that is understandable in our finite  minds. But in reality, there are no boundaries to the void that the blanket is floating in. The blanket is coated with Scotch Guard. For those of you who aren't familiar with what Scotch Guard is I will explain. The product mentioned is applied to cloth material, like couches, the fabric on chairs and so forth, and it guards against liquids or stains. The offending spill beads up on the fabric so that it can be wiped up before it could ever enter and ruin the fabric. For our purposes, we'll refer to this as Sin Guard.

I firmly believe that before the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, there was no Sin Guard on the garment of the universe. But after Satan's rebellion and man's subsequent rebellion in the garden, God had to apply the Sin Guard. Now don't go looking for a sin guard in the bible because you won't find one, it's just a metaphor. But after the rebellion of his creation, eternity had to become an unattainable goal for both fallen angels, demons and human beings. Thus too we have Genesis telling us that Yahweh put a cherub at the entrance of the Garden of Eden so that nobody could enter. Had Adam or Eve ever gotten hold of the fruit of the Tree of Life then humankind would have lived eternally sinful. Later on in time and space, Yeshua entered HIS creation and removed the sin-guard from the fabric so that everyone who believes wholeheartedly on HIS name can again attain heaven when they die or are translated.

LET'S DO A WORD STUDY:

In order to understand the true meaning of the scriptures we will study, we must study their meanings in Hebrew for the Old Testament passages and Greek for the New Testament passages. Only then can we see how the meanings correspond with the textual concept of the passage. For the purpose of making things a bit more simple for this author and for the reader, this section is broken into two categories. The first will deal with scriptures that talk about Yahweh's creation of the universe. The second category will illustrate how Yahweh can manipulate His cloth universe.

Creation Of The Heavens and Earth:

Let's read the scriptures and then check out the words. Don't worry, in most of the cases, the words are the same. To see the meaning of a underlined word, just click on it and you'll be taken to it's translation and definition which are all located just below:

Which alone spreadeth (natah) out the heavens (shamayim), and treadeth upon the waves of the sea. Job 9:8

Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest (natah) out the heavens (shamayim) like a curtain: Psalm 104:2

It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth (natah) out the heavens (shamayim) as a curtain, and spreadeth (mathach) them out as a tent to dwell in: Isaiah 40:22

Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens (shamayim), and stretched (natah) them out; he that spread forth (raqa) the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: Isaiah 42:5

Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth (natah) the heavens (shamayim) alone; that spreadeth abroad (raqa) the earth by myself; Isaiah 44:24

I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out (natah) the heavens (shamayim), and all their host (tsaba) have I commanded. Isaiah 45:12

And forgettest the LORD thy maker, that hath stretched forth (natah) the heavens (shamayim), and laid the foundations (yacad) of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor? Isaiah 51:13

He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out (natah) the heavens  (shamayim) by his discretion. Jeremiah 10:12

The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth (natah) the heavens (shamayim), and layeth the foundation (yacad) of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him. Zechariah 12:1

Mine hand also hath laid the foundation (yacad) of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned (taphach) the heavens (shamayim): when I call unto them, they stand up together. Isaiah 48:13

I clothe (labash) the heavens (shamayim) with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering. Isaiah 50:3

And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant (nata') the heavens (shamayim), and lay the foundations (yacad) of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people. Isaiah 51:16

The Hebrew word for "heavens," transliterated "shamayim" is the same in all of the scriptures noted above. It always denotes the physical heavens, meaning the sky, atmosphere or physical universe. It is on occasion used to refer to the third heaven; Yahweh's abode, but only in context with what the whole body of scripture is talking about, and never about a creation in those instances, because Yahweh's heaven is eternal and outside of time and space.

In all of the scriptures above where either "natah," "mathach," or "taphach" are mentioned, all of the connotations are speaking of a cloth nature in Yahweh's creation of the time-space continuum. The terms of speech make it sound almost like when someone makes up their bed. The sheet is put on the bed and spread out. Then it is stretched tight as the bottom and sides are folded under the bed. Any way you look at it, the heavens are as a material to Yahweh, and HE treated them accordingly when HE formed them.

I found the word "labash" in Isaiah 50:3 interesting because it comes right out and says that Yahweh clothed the heavens. Another word that I found interesting was the word "raqa" which basically says that Yahweh fashioned the Earth much like a blacksmith fashions implements of iron; out of a hot forge HE worked it on HIS anvil until HE was satisfied that "it was good."

So we've seen that the Bible correlates with the scientific notion that there is a fabric to time and space. Yahweh has proved it with HIS own words. Now let's look at how Yahweh can manipulate that fabric when HE wants to.

YAHWEH'S MANIPULATION OF THE FABRIC OF TIME AND SPACE:

Of course, since Yahweh created the fabric of time and space, He must be able to manipulate it to accomplish HIS pleasure. The creation is always subject to the creator, whether it be the forming of a blown glass vase, the tricking out of one's hotrod or the management of space time fabric. Yahweh mentions several times how HE can and will tweak HIS creation when HE feels the need. Let's look at the scriptures:

He bowed (natah) the heavens (shamayim) also, and came down; and darkness was under his feet. 2 Samuel 22:10

He bowed  (natah) the heavens (shamayim) also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet. Psalm 18:9

Bow (natah) thy heavens (shamayim), O LORD, and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke. Psalm 144:5

Oh that thou wouldest rend (Qara) the heavens (shamayim), that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence, Isaiah 64:1

And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens (shamayim) shall be rolled together (galal) as a scroll (cepher): and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree. Isaiah 34:4
Note: Reference Isaiah 13:13 and Matthew 24:29 below.

Therefore I will shake (ragaz) the heavens (shamayim), and the earth shall remove (ra'ash) out of her place (maqowm), in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger. Isaiah 13:13
Note: Reference Matthew 24:29 below.

The earth shook (ra'ash), the heavens (shamayim) also dropped (nataph) at the presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel. Psalm 68:8

For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake (ra'ash) the heavens (shamayim), and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; Haggai 2:6

Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake (ra'ash) the heavens (shamayim) and the earth; Haggai 2:21

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers (dunamis) of the heavens (ouranos) shall be shaken (saleuo): Matthew 24:29

Since Yahweh is the maker of the universe, HE has some unalienable rights over His creation. One of those rights is to be able to come into His creation and tweak things from time to time. These tweaks are commonly known as miracles.

I particularly liked the Isaiah 64:1 scripture where Isaiah is imploring Yahweh to just tear the sky apart and to come down upon the Earth. I can only imagine the weeks or months of agony that Isaiah went through to reach the point where he would beg Yahweh to intervene and just set everything right. I've had weeks like that myself; stop the world and let me off Adonai!!

In the first three scriptures Melech David (King David) talks about Yahweh's visit to earth. It is describing Yahweh's bending of time and space to allow HIM to enter our physical universe. Jim Wilhelmsen of Echoes of Enoch; www.echoesofenoch.org has done a splendid study of this event in his study of "the Clouds of Heaven," which I highly recommend. So, as to not steal his thunder, I'll recede here.

One interesting thing that really got my attention is that four of the scriptures above are all related to each other. The three in the Tenach (Old Testament) all relate to the Matthew 24 passage. In Matthew 24:29 Yeshua uses some interesting words. The word "dunamis," which is used for powers actually connotes that it is talking about individuals, not just the energy within the universe. It means "the powers resting in or on armies, forces and hosts." We know from above that "hosts" is used in many passages to mean angels. Of course, the heavens that are mentioned, transliterated as "ouranos," means the visible sky, the universe and the sunlit or starry heavens. But the most interesting word in the passage is the word "saleuo" which suggests the removal of someone from a happy state of being or to move or agitate the mind to become disturbed. These things also suggest that the powers that are to be shaken are personages, not really anything like energy or physical laws.

Taking this into account and then adding the three other scriptures, we could read into the combination of passages something like the following:

On that day, the sky will roll up like a scroll, and when it does the armies of evil angels who have happily sat in the expanse around the earth will suddenly fall to earth. They will appear to fall like drops falling from the sky, some like leafs falling and some like figs falling from a tree. They will become agitated and disturbed that they have started the process of being judged by Yahweh. And Yahweh will shake the earth with a great quake, so much so that it will reverse its tilt and/or change its orbit. And finally, with the heavens bowed and rolled up like a scroll, Yeshua will enter the scene and come to save the Jewish Nation and all who believe on HIS Name.

That was sort of an encapsulated version of all that was written. Yahweh is our home builder and HE hanged the wallpaper. Someday He'll come back to tear down the wallpaper and He'll hang new paper; paper that is uncorrupt and pleasing to the eye, as it was before the fall of Satan and mankind perverted the creation.

ENTER THE TWILIGHT ZONE OF MY THOUGHTS:

Well, up until now we've looked at things that I feel could be backed up by science, if science looked at things from a fresh and unbiased view. We've also looked at things from a Biblical perspective. But now I'm going to suggest something that is really bizarre. I must emphasize with the strongest terms that this section is not backed up by science or scripture, but is my own personal view. I also must stress that it is a theory in my own mind and thoughts and is based on pure speculation. So, if you read the rest of this short section and disagree, don't write to me with your dissatisfactions with me or trying to prove that I'm wrong. My claim is that I could be wrong, but I also could be right. For those of us who are heaven bound, we'll find out someday when we'll be able to walk up to Yeshua and ask Him if this was truth or speculation.

Let's just assume that those physicists who think that the universe is really like a rubber goo, or as I have advanced to you, that it is like a super thick fabric (which the Bible seems to suggest), is really a reality. Let's assume that the Earth is situated in that fabric, like in the center layer of that throw blanket pictured above. Now, let's say that eternity is bathed in light. This can be backed up by doing a word study of "light" in the Bible. Light is almost always associated with righteousness, holiness and the attributes of Yahweh when those ideals are being advanced.

My proposition is this. There could be a real possibility that the far distant objects, like galaxies, star clusters and even distant objects in our own galaxy are really background light from eternity. Perhaps the fabric of time and space is woven in some intricate pattern that allows that light to show up as swirling galaxies and such. Now if I'm wrong about this, then no big deal because I offer this as a speculation, not an established fact. But if I'm right, what will be the excuse of those who refuse to believe God but believe in their speculation that those objects are galaxies and star clusters.

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. - The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Psalm 19:1

The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory. Psalm 97:6

SUMMARY:

Well, we've looked at much and studied much. Now, just like after eating a good meal we must sit and digest what we have read. By "suggest," I mean we must ponder and pray about these things. Now that you've read all the above, put your transmission in "Berean" gear and check it all with scripture.

I think it quite possible (being human and faulty) that there might be some things that I missed and invite discussion about this article. But I do ask one thing. If anyone does write, and you have a disagreement with what is written, I pray that you will write with civility and good manners. We're all adults here, and civilized ones at that, so I implore everyone to act accordingly.

Thank you for reading this article and I pray with all earnest that Yahweh, our Savior Yeshua Ha Mashiach will bless each and every reader with spiritual wisdom. I also pray that if anyone reads this and they haven't gotten a personal relationship with with El Shaddai, through HIS Son Yeshua, they will take the time to click here and find out how to do so. As the world plummets into chaos over the next few years, a relationship with Yeshua will be the only thing that give inner peace while alive on earth and also guarantee eternal peace and happiness with Yahweh, as one of HIS.
