Keith Greens music has ministered greatly to me throughout the years. His music is timeless and will continue to minister to others even though he is not here with us, but is enjoying time with our Lord Jesus. Lauri

I first heard Keith's music back in 1986. I had just found Jesus or should I say HE found me. It was the song "Rushing Wind" that blew me away. I remember "help me bear good fruit" was all that mattered...to glorify Him. Yes, Jesus was the ONE who set our spirits free! May the Lord continue to use the music of Keith Green to help us make a joyful noise unto the Lord! Thanks for making this site available for access to Keith's lyrics and a BIG thanks to Sparrow Records. I wish there was someway I could gain access to the Interview I heard on the radio back in 1986 0r 87 where Melody talked about Keith and discussed the many stories behind the Lyrics to much of the music they wrote together. I have only been listening to Keith's music for about the last few months, but I am constantly in awe of how his music speaks to me and sometimes for me. I use the lyrics in my prayers sometimes. The most awesome thing, however, is that my seeking husband has been listening to his music and has even put it on his computer at work to listen to. I just wanted to send a note to let anyone know what an impact Keith Green's music has had and still has on my life. I have listened to Keith's music for at least the past 15 years. Keith's songs are truly worship songs and I give praise to the Lord when I sing them. It is not unusual for me to cry many tears while I drive and listen to his music. He has touched my heart more than any other Christian music artist could. I have to honestly admit that I do not prefer to listen to anyone else's music but Keith's. I don't need to. I listen to all the tapes and CD's over and over and over again and never get tired of it. I find that to be a bit strange at times. How on earth could someone listen to the same artists songs so many times with still so much enjoyment? My little girl is now three years old and has known the lyrics to "You Are The One" since she was about 20 months old. It's one of her favorite songs. She has good taste in music too! Hi Dave! Just wanted to share my comments...The first time I ever heard Keith's music was in 1977, when "You Put This Love in My Heart" blasted its way over the airwaves and into my heart! I had never heard music with such passion for Jesus before, and I marveled. Remember, this was in the early days of contemporary Christian music, when rock & roll was still quite suspect; and there was a very heated debate going on in Christian circles as to whether Christian rock was of the devil, or not! Understanding that, I also marveled that the station had the guts to play it, and wondered just who the artist was.

Three years later I got the chance to find out first-hand, when I moved to east Texas, and went to work for him at Last Days Ministries. I found him to be intense & passionate, to be sure, but also gentle, compassionate, intelligent, funny and very generous. Before I knew him, I saw him as a kind of Christian "superstar"; afterward, I saw him as Christian brother, struggling with many of the same issues as I was. I saw his humanness and heard him pray with brokenness before God. It is this that made him useable by the Holy Spirit, above all else. The songs he wrote, he wrote from his own life experiences, struggles, joys, sorrows, & pain. Yet, through it all, first & foremost, was Jesus. He would have given it all up in a heartbeat if if meant losing Him; nothing and no one else was as important. And he loved people, seeing each person as worthy of being honored as if he/she were Jesus, himself! Keith was my teacher & mentor and, after Jesus, I attribute my Christian growth to him and the ministry, and what I was blessed with learning during my time there! MARY E

This is something I've dreamed of... to get Keith's Green lyrics ! English is not my first language so its so grate to have the lyrics in front of me while listening. By the way.... yesterday, the 28th of July, it was 20 years since Keith Green and his two children died in a terrible accident. Think how God made Keith's dream come true, that Gods Holy Spirit would be in his song and touch people and give them the desire to follow Jesus more closely. Kristin
