OBSERVATIONS
Correlations Between God's Judgments of
Egypt And The Judgments of Revelation

Thank you for turning to this page. Over the past few years I have noticed some very interesting events happen which I believe are fulfillments of Biblical Prophecy. It is as if the stage were being set for the end time events as played out in the book of Revelation, the last book in the Bible. Join me as I endeavor to explain what I have discovered.

This world is ever changing, and I think that all reading this will agree with me. An honest view will show now though that things are really sliding into the mire of darkness. Things that were considered taboo 30 years ago are now practiced in the open and not only are they practiced, but they are praised and exalted practices of a sick and dying world.

Homosexuality has exploded in our culture, spreading its spores of sin and debauchery everywhere and in some instances it is even a glorified practice.

Infidelity among married couples is rampant. It is common place to hear friends and coworkers talking openly about affairs, almost bragging about conquests and marital unfaithfulness. The divorce rate here in America is a crying shame. Today if you get married there is a 50% chance that it will end in divorce. The result of divorce being that two nice people hate each other and children that don't understand what happened to those two nice people, further heap guilt on themselves or hating one or both parents.

We see articles in the papers and hear newscasts every night about how hideous society has become. People are killing others left and right, and in insidious ways. No longer are people shot and knifed, but they are burned, mutilated, butchered and as of late, even cannibalized. Yes my friend, we are living in perilous times.

But one may ask, "did the Bible foretell this?" and to that I have to answer "yes"! Lets look at what the Bible predicts about our modern age:

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. II Tim. 3:1-7

And in the words of the Lord Jesus Himself, we hear:

And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Matthew 24:11-12

You might be saying "well, these things have always been with us, so what's the big deal." But I submit, when have they happened together and with such frequency other than today. The frequency has increased along with the blatancy of the acts as never before which makes today special in the prophetic eye.

Now, you probably are thinking, "well, didn't Nostradamus and Edgar Cayce say things like this"? Yes, they did mention similar things but they made a lot of mistakes too. Besides, they just told of the bad things and nothing good. You might ask "what good will come out of all the coming chaos?" Well, God has offered solace and comfort in the person of Jesus, through His death and resurrection. Through Him God offers a way of escape; something that the two aforementioned persons couldn't offer.

Basically, there are many prophecies that have come into reality and perhaps I will write another paper reflecting on those at some future time. I just wanted to show as exhibit number one that God knew about our times a forehand and has every situation in His hand. What we do with our part of the bargain is entirely up to us, and we can either go His way or the way of death and agony.

Will History Repeat Itself?

Man is the smartest, most cunning creature that God put on Earth. Man can create things, think for himself and create some of the most beautiful artwork. Man has progressed from wandering nomads to the Atom Splitter and Gene Splicer, but man has one flaw that supersedes all the rest; he can't learn from or remember his mistakes.

The above is proved to me time and time again, especially living here in California. Take for instance the tendency for earthquakes. It is common knowledge that houses built on landfill really don't fare well in moderate to heavy shocks. The unstable ground just moves too much (much like a bowl of Jello) compared to houses built on solid ground. But, every time that there is a bad shock and some of those houses fall, the owners eventually build another house right on the same spot. Case number one of not learning from experience.

Another case in point is the building of houses on hillsides here in California. Every Winter when we get heavy rain we see news footage of houses sliding down hillsides because the soil makeup of the hill just gets too saturated and it slides. Yet, every year more and more dingdongs build houses on hillsides. Case number 2 of not learning from experience.

One last case in point. Here in California a lot of low lying land has been reclaimed from marshes, bays and river plains through the use of levees. People build houses on these flood plains, and some of these areas have very large communities. Every Winter, without fail the news comes on warning people who live in these areas that levees have broken and that they have to evacuate. Millions of dollars are lost every year because people are gullible enough to believe that a reletively small dam of earth is going to hold the force of millions of cubic feet of powerful water. Here again, when the flood subsides, the houses are rebuilt, waiting for the next calamity. Okay, enough already, I think we get the point about this whole thing.

Some Biblical History

Those of us who believe that the Bible is the expressed and exact word of God believe that it is a great source of history also. Every year more archeological finds are brought to light to show that the Bible is true and believable.

In the book of Genesis we read about a family (Israel and his Children) who move to a land called Egypt. They went originally to escape a famine in the land of Palestine which was quite severe. Joseph (one of Israel's sons) found favor in the Pharaoh's eyes and invited his family. It would seem that for many years the children of Israel lived in prosperity in Egypt. According to the Bible, after a time, a pharaoh came into power who didn't know of Joseph or any agreement that the first pharaoh made with the Israelites. He forced them into slavery and abused them greatly.

Around their 400th year in Egypt God remembered His people and devised a plan to deliver them from the hand of slavery. To do this He worked through a couple of brothers named Moses and Aaron. God knew that Pharaoh would be stiff necked and would need more than the words of a couple of slaves to let the people leave Egypt. The miracles that He performed are called the plagues of Egypt. These were in chronological order:

  • Aaron's rod becomes a serpent (snake) before Pharaoh. While this isn't really considered a plague, it was significant because Aaron's rod (now a snake) had swallowed up the other snakes which were produced by Pharaoh's mystics. This was technically a victory of God over the snake deity of Egypt.
  • All water turned to blood. Although the main reason for this plague was to scare the Egyptians and show God's glory, it in essence showed that God was superior to Egypt's Nile God. It is interesting to note that all water, not just the Nile was turned to blood. Some like to say that the Nile's turning red was because of a massive land slide up river of a red clay. Well if that's the case the I find it even more miraculous that water that never touched the Nile during or after the blooding occurred turned to blood.
  • Plague of Frogs. The Egyptians held the frog to be sacred. By God's sending the frogs he showed again His superiority of the frog deity. Then when the frogs were killed and a great stench filled the land, the death of the frog deity further proved God's exalted status.
  • The Plague of Gnats. It is not known (at least by myself) if gnats were sacred to the Egyptians, but the ground certainly was. By God's turning the sand into gnats, he showed his Superiority over the creation, specifically the Earth.
  • Plague of Fly Swarms. Again, I really don't know if the Egyptians deified the fly, but I would not doubt it. I for one hate flies. I can't sleep knowing that one of them might keep waking me up during the night, so I conduct sorties until I have destroyed any fly in my house. I can only imagine what a great nuisance the flies were. Personally, I would have let the Israelites go after that plague.
  • Plague of Stricken Livestock. Egyptians held their animals in great reverence. A modern day parallel would be the land of India where many animal classes are sacred. Animals were also used for labor purposes. There were oxen to pull the plow, horses for transportation and cows to give milk. By God's killing all of these animals it put a severe hardship on the Egyptians and removed a very important food element. God didn't destroy the Israelite's animals because they didn't hold them in religious esteem, just as a food element and nutritional source.
  • Plague of Boils. This plague affected both man and animal. The Egyptians were a pantheistic society. Basically that means that they worshipped a multitude of gods. Most pantheistic cultures tend to elevate man to a godlike level. The boils showed the Egyptians that they were in fact not gods, just men, who are subject to human frailty.
  • Plague of hail and fire. Yes, the Egyptians had gods that controlled the elements. By God's sending the hail and lightning He proved dominion over the puny Egyptian gods. This must have been a truly frightening plague since the hail killed everyone who didn't come indoors and destroyed all of the crops and animals left outside too.
  • Plague of Locusts. Whatever the hail left of the fields the locusts finished off. Egypt was truly in dire straights. They had relatively no meat left, no vegetable matter and I imagine that many were starving by now.
  • Plague of darkness. One of the most powerful gods that the Egyptians had was Ra, the sun god. By making it dark in Egypt for three days God utterly shattered any god-ship of Ra, further reducing the Egyptian religion to nothing.
  • Death of the Firstborn. This was God's final judgment on Egypt. In this, God would judge and condemn every god that the Egyptians had. With this last plague Pharaoh relented and let the Israelites go. The Bible seems to suggest that Israel plundered the wealth of Egypt as they left. They were in effect given the riches if they would leave. It is also interesting to note that the Israelites had to take measures against this angel of death. Perhaps this was to test and see who was serious about leaving or staying in Egypt.

So, we see that the purpose of the plagues on Egypt were two fold. First, they procured freedom for the Israelites and second they decimated the Gods of Egypt.

Modern Day Parallels

In this modern day you would think that we would really have our act together. Science has worked what would have been called miracles in centuries past. Nearly 30 years ago we landed on the moon, a feat always thought impossible. Recently mankind has unlocked some of the secrets of genetics and we are told now that some animals are being cloned. Debate rages whether cloning of human beings should be allowed. It seems that there is nothing man can figure out or overcome. Lets face it, man has grown too big for his britches.

In this day of scientific miracle it would be thought almost impossible that man would move backward toward old lies which as of late are titled "The New Age". It is the equivalent of a middle aged person believing in Santa Claus again. Ridiculous you say, but it is happening, and at an alarming rate. Even scientists are moving away from scientific principle and into mysticism and nonsense. More and more scientists are starting to study the paranormal and are believing in it. Nowadays it seems that all normal sensible thought is being thrown away and nonsense is being embraced. Let me assure them that what they are looking at is real, but it is not what they bargain for and if they keep it up, they will be dealing with powers that God didn't intend man to deal with. For some it is too late already. Go to my UFO site after you read this text and you will see what I mean.

What we have been witnessing over the last several years is the melding of Science and Environmentalism. The environmentalists that we saw in the 50s and 60s are not the same people that we see now. They are not the God searching flower children who wanted to clean up the Earth back then. They are pantheists who are trying to promote a agenda and force it on the American people and the world. If you think that any of this is hogwash, then I challenge you to visit any new age book shop. There you will find literally hundreds of books that will confirm everything said here.

Before we go any farther, I feel that I should define pantheism for you. Webster's dictionary defines it thus:

Pantheism (pan' the-ism) n. The doctrine that the universe is God, or that all things are manifestations of God.

The modern pantheist believes that the Earth is actually an organism, a living entity. They dub it feminine and have basically two names for the earth. Those names are GAIA and Mother Earth. Gaia seems to be gaining more popularity than the latter. In their eyes the Earth has as much rights as you and I and that it should be treated with dignity, like any intelligent organism should. The Bible is quite clear when it describes these people:

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four footed beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. Romans 1:18-32

So, we see that God knows what is going on. When He sees that a person is given over to worshiping things that are created, He turns them over to their desire and it only goes down hill from there.

It is quite evident that the modern day pantheists are really concerned with protecting the creation rather than worshiping the Creator of all things. So then we must ask ourselves the question "what parts of creation are they concerned with (or worship) and trying to save. I have compiled a small list as follows:

  • The Seas - as we have heard for years, that the seas are dirty and need to be cleaned up.
  • The Rivers - The rivers are dirty and need to be protected.
  • The Air - Sacred because it is the breath of GAIA
  • The Trees - They hold trees to be sacred.
  • Wild Grasslands - That need to be protected.
  • Fish - We are supposedly over-fishing the oceans and rivers.
  • Wild Animals - We are supposedly driving to extinction.
  • The Sun, Moon and stars - has always been worshiped.

Let me take a moment to clarify my stance. I too am concerned for all of these areas of creation. I do however recognize that they are just that, part of God's creation, to be admired and protected. I do know however that God is in control of all of these areas and could work miracles if we let Him.

All of these areas are being actively pursued by these environmental terrorists, but not to the extreme that they will be in the years to come. The grassroots effort that started a few years ago will explode as their religion takes hold more and more. It will come to a ridiculous climax and God is going to have to step in. I believe that the Trumpet Judgments and the Bowl Judgments, which are mentioned in the Book of Revelation will be plagues that will afflict the pantheists and the rest of the world. The judgments will probably be two-fold for God's purposes. First, the judgments will be God's answer to the world's treatment of persecuted Christians and Jews. There is going to be an unprecedented evil against the people of God and He isn't going to like that very much. Second, His judgments will be to again remind man that He is God. He will make the creation turn against its worshipers showing their foolishness. So, what are the judgments? I have listed them below for you. Notice how some of them parallel the judgments against Egypt.

The Trumpet Judgments

  • Trumpet 1 - Hail and fire mixed with blood falls to Earth burning a third of the Earth, a third of the trees and all of the green grass.
  • Trumpet 2 - A large burning mountain is thrown into the sea turning 1/3 of the sea to blood, killing 1/3 third of the marine animals and destroying 1/3 of the ships.
  • Trumpet 3 - A blazing star called "wormwood" falls on the Earth making bitter 1/3 of the springs and rivers. It is interesting to note that Chernobyl means Wormwood and that it was the worse nuclear power plant disaster ever, or at least up to this writing.
  • Trumpet 4 - Darkness strikes the sun, moon and stars so that 1/3 of each is darkened. Also 1/3 of the day and 1/3 of the night are without light.
  • Trumpet 5 - A star crashes to Earth and the aftermath is a creature that is a cross between a horse, locust and scorpion which torments anyone not of God. Perhaps a genetic experiment gone awry?
  • Trumpet 6 - Releases angels who dry up the river Euphrates, allowing some attackers numbering two hundred million to kill 1/3 of mankind with fire, smoke and sulfur that comes out of their mouths. Is John describing some sort of military weapon here?
  • Trumpet 7 - Has ramifications in Heaven but also suggests weather disturbances and an earthquake on Earth.

The Bowl Judgments

  • First Bowl - Causes painful sores on anyone who has the mark of the beast on them.
  • Second Bowl - Causes the sea to turn to dead mans blood killing everything in the sea.
  • Third Bowl - All of the rivers and springs become blood.
  • Fourth Bowl - Causes the Sun to scorch people and hardens their hearts further.
  • Fifth Bowl - Plunges the kingdom of the beast into darkness - men's hearts harden even more.
  • Sixth Bowl - Dried up the river Euphrates preparing the way for the Kings of the East.
  • Seventh Bowl - Causes a tremendous earthquake "greater than any earthquake since man has been on the Earth" which collapses buildings in all of the Earth's great cities.

Summary:

The Bible states that "Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever" and I see no reason to doubt this in His judgments of the Egypt or Earth. God always proves that He is supreme, whether it is speaking to the heart of a believer or through terrible judgments. Mankind is (and hopefully for the last time) making the same mistake and repeating history. When it is all over and the history books are closed, God will dwell with man and peace and harmony will reign. I really think that the process of the end of the age has begun and will quicken as time progresses.

The choice for the reader is to choose one of two sides. You can choose either good or evil. If you choose good, then Jesus is waiting to bring you into his kingdom and you will live a life that is worth living. If you choose evil, all I can say is pick your trumpet or bowl. Consider yourselves warned as God accepts no excuses.
