OUR IDENTITY IN MESSIAH YESHUA

From time to time it is important for all believers in Messiah Yeshua (Christ Jesus) to stop and think about who they really are. We've been given a special identity and position through our adoption into Yahweh's Kingdom by our relationship with Messiah. So let me encourage me to read through this list. Save it and maybe even print it out for your edification and for the edification of believers around you.

I'm God's Child:

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. 1 Peter 1:23

I'm forgiven of all my sins and washed in the blood:

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace Ephesians 1:7

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Hebrews 9:14

In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Colossians 1:14

I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake. 1 John 2:12

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

I'm a new creature:

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17

I'm the Temple of The Holy Spirit:

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?  1 Corinthians 6:19

I'm delivered from the power of darkness and translated into GOD's Kingdom:

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: Colossians 1:13

I'm redeemed from the curse of the Law:

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 1 Peter 1:18-19

I'm blessed:

And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

I'm a Saint:

To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 1:7

Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours: 1 Corinthians 1:2

Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons: Philippians 1:1

I'm the head, and not the tail:

And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them: Deuteronomy 28:13

I'm Above and not beneath:

I'm Holy and without blame before HIM in LOVE:

Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. 1 Peter 1:16

Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. Ephesians 1:14

I'm Elect:

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Colossians 3:12

Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Romans 8:33

I'm established to the end:

Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 1:8

I'm made nigh (close) by the blood of Messiah:

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Ephesians 2:13

I'm victorious:

He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. Revelation 21:7

I'm set free:

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? John 8:31-33

I'm strong in the LORD:

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Ephesians 6:10

I'm dead to sin:

God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?......Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:2, 11

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 1 Peter 2:24

I'm more than a conqueror:

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Romans 8:37

I'm a joint heir with Messiah

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. Romans 8:17

I'm sealed with the Holy Spirit of Promise:

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Ephesians 1:13

I'm in Messiah by His doing:

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
1 Corinthians 1:30

I'm accepted in the beloved:

To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. Ephesians 1:6

I'm complete in Him:

And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: Colossians 2:10

I'm crucified with Messiah:

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20

I'm alive with Messiah:

Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) Ephesians 2:5

I'm free from condemnation:

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1

I'm reconciled to God:

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
2 Corinthians 5:18

I'm qualified to share in HIS inheritance:

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Colossians 1:12

I'm firmly rooted, built up, established in my FAITH and overflowing with gratitude:

Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Colossians 2:7

I'm circumcised with the circumcision made without hands:

In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Colossians 2:11

I'm a fellowcitizen with the saints and of the household of GOD:

Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; Ephesians 2:19

I'm built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Yeshua Ha Mashiach Himself being the Chief Cornerstone:

And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; Ephesians 2:20

I'm in the world as HE is in heaven:

Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 1 John 4:17

I'm born of God and the evil one does not touch me:

We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.  1 John 5:18

I'm His faithful follower:

These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful. Revelation 17:14b

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; Ephesians 5:1

I'm overtaken with blessings:

And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God. Deuteronomy 28:2

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: Ephesians 1:3

I'm HIS disciple because I have LOVE for others:

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. John 13:34-35

I'm the light of the world:

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Matthew 5:14

I'm the salt of the earth:

Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Matthew 5:13

I'm the RIGHTEOUSNESS of GOD:

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:21

I'm a partaker of HIS divine nature:

To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 1 Peter 1:4

I'm called of God:

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 2 Timothy 1:9

I'm the first fruits among HIS creation:

Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. James 1:18

I'm CHOSEN:

Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God. 1 Thessalonians 1:4

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Ephesians 1:4

I'm an ambassador for Messiah:

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:20

I'm GOD's workmanship, created in MESSIAH YESHUA for good works:

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10

I'm the apple of my Father's eye:

He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. Deuteronomy 32:10

Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings, Psalm 17:8

I'm healed by the stripes of Yeshua:

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 1 Peter 2:24

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Isaiah 53:6

I'm being changed into HIS IMAGE:

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3:18

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Philippians 1:6

I have the mind of Messiah:

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Philippians 2:5

For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16

I've obtained my inheritance:

In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: Ephesians 1:11

I have access by one SPIRIT unto the FATHER:

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16

For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Ephesians 2:18

I have overcome the world:

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:4

I have everlasting life and will not be condemned:

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5:24

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. John 6:47

I have the Peace of God which passes all understanding:

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

I have received power, the power of the Holy Spirit; power to lay hands on the sick and see them recover, power to cast out demons, power over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt me.

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Mark 16:17-18

And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. Luke 10:17

I live by and in the law of the SPIRIT OF LIFE in MESSIAH YESHUA:

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:2

I walk in Messiah Yeshua:

As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Colossians 2:6

I can do all things in MESSIAH:

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13

My life is hid with Messiah in God:

For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. Colossians 3:3

I shall do even greater works than Messiah Yeshua:

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. John 14:12

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.  1 John 4:4

I am led in triumph in Messiah:

Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.  2 Corinthians 2:14
