Meaning of The Year 2005 AD

But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. 1Pe 4:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. Amo 3:7

What can be made of these two parallel curves of oil price and peak oil literature? The most important thing that can be said is that we are in a situation where the oil price is responding to the continual decreasing of production spare capacity. This is an event prerequisite to Peak Oil. Crude oil prices do not begin to rise when oil production hits a peak. Rather they begin to rise when it is perceived that spare capacity may be dwindling in an unsustainable manner. When the Herald of diminishing spare capacity gives his message and departs, then King Peak Oil arrives in all his terrible force. With that in mind, I note that more and more commentators are predicting this year as the "Big Rollover". Commentators like Richard Deffeyes, Matt Simmons and T. Boone Pickens have targeted 2005 as the year of peak oil. Richard Deffeyes has backed his prediction with analysis based on R/P projections. Matt Simmons no doubt has factored an imminent peak in Saudi production into his calculations.

Many prophecies, date fixing and such has failed because they’ve clung to just one bearing aka. “The year X is the year when …”. I will show you that the year 2005 like no other year stands out in human history as MULTIPLE Biblical bearings pinpoint it. How? Eight years ago (1997) I’ve stumbled upon a book named Times of the Signs by George

T. Curle, now late Christian evangelist from New Zealand. In this book of prophecy he demonstrated a complete, harmonious interlocking pattern from Genesis to Revelation. He has found approximately TWENTY Bible bearings all converge into a single year. In this article I will show three major bearings, called Times of the Millennia, Times of the Gentiles and Times of the Temples and some “minor” ones. Back then I’ve wondered what will happen in the year 2005. Surely something very important. Curle has speculated and failed. He just couldn’t know. Sure some discontinuity will happen that will shatter the world and mark the beginning of the end of the age and will be closely connected with the Israel and the Middle East. What could it be? Now, something of major importance is happening this year, virtual unrecognized by many, something that is closely connected with the Middle East and Israel, something unparalleled in our history. In the summer of 2004 I’ve heard about Peak Oil.

Do you see? This picture is worth thousand words. The implications of this graph above are described in my article about Peak Oil. See how the curve which represent oil extraction (not counting heavy, polar deepwater and NGL) comes to a peak in the year 2005. The extraction of oil and gas liquids combined will peak in 2007 never to recover again. And yes, don’t forget Peak Oil is closely connected with the Middle East and Israel. It will impact all of us. Now let’s see what George Curle has found out.

The Times of the Millennia

In the first chapter of the Bible we are told that God created all in just six days and then rested on the seventh. Now, some Bible scholars believe that this has major implications. The belief is that likewise on the scale of a day God would work for 6000 years to restore the creation and then rest for another 1000 years.

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 2Pe 3:8

This belief has persisted for centuries and has been held by many Bible scholars.

Col 2.16… or of the Sabbath [days]: Col 2:17 Which are a shadow of things to come”

Important thing is that the years which God want us to reckon on are revealed in The Bible. We must deal with revealed years and stop arguing about actual years. So, if we count years which has been revealed to us the following pattern emerges.

There are 2000 years from Adam to Abraham. There are 2000 years from Abraham to Christ. There are 2000 years from Christ to Millennial kingdom (which will last for 1000 years).

Sum of these revealed years gives us 7000 years.

The focal point of these 7000 years is death and resurrection of Christ, not his birth! From this we can conclude that the fifth millennium began in the year 33* (see note 1) when Jesus endured crucifixion in Jerusalem and rose from the dead three days after.

Now, this 2000 years are not our solar years (solar year last 365.2421 days) but Prophetic years (prophetic year last 360 days). This is based on Daniel’s prophecy. The Jews measured duration by the moon not the sun.

As Sir Isaac Newton pointed out: “All nations, before the just length of the solar year was known, reckoned months by the course of the moon, and the years by the return of winter, summer, spring and autumn, and in making calendars for their festivals, they reckoned thirty days to a lunar month, and twelve lunar months to a year, taking the nearest round numbers, whence came the division of the ecliptic into 360 degrees”.

Very important footnote to Daniel 9:24-27 in the Scofield Bible. “Daniel’s prophecy of the seventy ‘sevens’ (weeks) (v. 24-27) provides the chronological frame for Messianic prediction from Daniel to the establishment of the kingdom on earth and also a key to its interpretation. Its main features are as follows:

  1. The entire prophecy is concerned primarily with Daniel’s “people” and the “holy city” – i.e. Israel and Jerusalem.

    1. Two princes are mentioned; the first is named “the Anointed One, the ruler” (i.e. Messiah, the Prince) (v.25); the second is described as “the ruler who will come”

    2. (v. 26), a reference to the little horn of the chap. 7:8, whose “people” would destroy the rebuilt Jerusalem after the cutting off of the Messianic Prince (v. 26).
  2. The “seventy sevens” of the prophecy are weeks of years, an important sabbatical time-measure in the Jewish calendar. Violation of the command to observe the sabbatical year brought the judgement of the Babylonian captivity and determined its length of seventy years. Compare Leviticus 25:1-22, 26:33-35; 2 Chronicles 36:19-21; Daniel 9:2. Compare also Genesis 29:26-28 for use of “week” to indicate seven years.

    1. These 490 prophetic years are each 360 days long. This is proved by the Biblical references to the seventieth week of seven years, which is divided into two halves

    2. (v. 27), the latter half being various designated as “a time, times, and half a time” (Daniel 7:25; cp Revelation 12:14); forty-two months (Revelation 11:2; 13:5); or 1260 days (Revelation 11:3, 12:6). In this connection it should be remembered that, in the grand sweep of prophecy, prophetic time is invariably so near as to give full warning, so indeterminate as to give no satisfaction to mere curiosity (cf Matthew 24:36; Acts 1:7).
  3. The beginning of the seventy weeks is fixed as “the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem” and its wall (v. 25). The only decree in Scripture authorizing the rebuilding of the city and its wall is recorded in Nehemiah 2; dated in “the month of Nisan in the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes” (i.e. 444 BC.), it is well attested in ancient history. From this date as a beginning, the first sixty-nine weeks reach to “the Anointed One, the ruler.”

  4. At a later time, after the “sixty-two ‘sevens’” which follow the first “seven weeks” i.e. after sixty-nine weeks, two important events will take place: (1) Messiah will be “cut off” and will have none of His regal rights (“will have nothing”). And (2) the rebuilt city and sanctuary will again be destroyed, this time

by the people of another ruler who is yet to come. It is generally agreed that these two events were fulfilled in the death of Christ (33 AD.) and the destruction of Jerusalem by Rome in AD. 70. Both events are placed before the seventh week of

v. 27. Hence a period of at least thirty-seven years between the death of Christ and the destruction of Jerusalem must intervene between the sixty-ninth and seventieth weeks.

7. The main events of the final “one ‘seven’” (v. 27) are as follows: (1) There is a seven-year “conveniant” made by future Roman prince (the “little horn” of 7:8) with the Jews. (2) In the middle of the week there is a forcible interruption of the Jewish ritual of worship by the Roman prince who introduces “abomination” that renders the sanctuary desolate. (3) At the same time he launches persecution against Jews . And (4) the end of the seventieth week also brings judgement upon the desolator and also brings “everlasting righteousness” (v. 24 – i.e. the blessings of the Messianic Kingdom.)

The proof that his final week has not yet been fulfilled is seen in the fact that Christ definitely relates its main events to His second coming (Matthew 24:6,15). Hence, during the interim between the sixty-ninth and seventieth weeks there must lie the whole period of the Church set forth in the N.T. but not revealed in the O.T.”

End footnote

444 BC + 476 years (69 ‘weeks’ is 69x7 or 483 prophetic years or 476 solar years) gives us 33 AD -the year when Christ died on the cross and rose from the dead!

Important:

Rules for calculating across BC to AD years. There is no year 0!

Rule1: Add years to be added to the BC figure, then add one more year. 5 BC + 10 yrs = 6 AD

Rule2: Subtract years from the AD figure then subtract one more year. 6 AD – 10 yrs = 5 BC

Rule 3: Add BC years to AD years, then subtract one year. 5 BC to 6 AD= 10 yrs

Note 1

The two dates 445 BC and 32 AD in this article have been updated in the light of the latest scholarship to 444 BC and 33 AD. Refer ‘Chronological Aspects of the Life of Christ’ by Harold W. Hoehner (Zondervan).

So the prophetic year is 12 days x 30 months = 360 days. 1000 prophetic years of 360 day each gives us 986 solar years (rounded) (1000 x 360)/365.24=986

And finally 33+986+986 gives us 2005!

The Times of the Gentiles

And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

Luke 21:24

Jerusalem for the first time fell under gentile rule in the times of Babylonian empire (624 BC – 539 BC). The Jerusalem was besieged three times (605 BC, 597 BC and 586 BC). We can find the key to the “Times of the Gentiles” in Ezekiel. In the fourth chapter it is written how long the gentiles will rule Jerusalem and for how long.

Ezek. 4:1 Thou also, son of man, take thee a tile, and lay it before thee, and pourtray upon it the city, [even] Jerusalem: Ezek. 4:2 And lay siege against it, and build a fort against it, and cast a mount against it; set the camp also against it, and set [battering] rams against it round about. Ezek. 4:3 Moreover take thou unto thee an iron pan, and set it [for] a wall of iron between thee and the city: and set thy face against it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it. This [shall be] a sign to the

house of Israel.

Ezek. 4:4 Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: [according] to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity. Ezek. 4:5 For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel. Ezek. 4:6 And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.

Ok, let’s summarize:

390 days for the iniquity of Israel

+ 40 days for the iniquity of Judah

430 days for a full period

“I have appointed thee each day for a year.”

Thus this gives us 430 years for the full period of punishment, beginning with the fall of Jerusalem in 586 BC. From 430 years we subtract 70 years of exile in Babylon which gives us 360 years of punishment left. Few returned from this exile in 516 BC and few Jews repented. Other remained in exile. The sad thing is that others still remained unrepentant for the rest of this period (360 years) until 156 BC. This year has no prophetic value so we must add additional factor here to make sense from this prophecy. We find this missing factor in Leviticus 26:

Lev 26:23 And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me; Lev 26:24 Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins.

Lev 26:25 And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of [my] covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. Lev 26:26 [And] when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver [you] your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied. Lev 26:27 And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me; Lev 26:28 Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.

Lev 26:29 And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat. Lev 26:30 And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you. Lev 26:31 And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours. Lev 26:32 And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it. Lev 26:33 And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.

Now we will add this additional factor all this becomes very clear:

360 x 7 = 2520 years

If we add 2520 years to 516 BC when Babylonian exile ends ….

516 BC + 2520 (solar) years = 2005!

And this is not all! If we add 70 years spent in Babylonian exile we get 2590 years and if we measure from the year when Jerusalem fell in 586 BC

586 BC + 2590 (prophetic) years = 1967!

Amazing! Do you know what happened in 1967? Jews recaptured old Jerusalem and Temple area in the Six Day war! From this you can be sure that God has COMPLETE control over history!

The Times of the Temples

We are talking about the fall of the present Babylonian system which is corrupted beyond belief. I will show you beautiful symmetry in time which is closely connected to ZION or Mt. Moriah which is the Temple area in Jerusalem. On top of it sits Dome of the Rock, building completed by the Moslems 691 AD. It sits right on the site of destroyed Temple. Are they prophetically related? Wait and see.

Grattan Guinnes wrote in his book “The Witness in the Stars” published way back in1893 that if we count 1260 years from the time Jerusalem fell to Islam in 637 AD we come to the exact date when Babylonian empire was established -624 BC. If we plot forward we come to the year 1897. Back then he couldn’t know that this is exact year of the first Zionist Congress in Basle in Switzerland. He speculated that something important will happen like fatal fall of the Ottoman empire or some distinct stage of Jewish restoration. And about the Jewish restoration he was right! Historians are putting the year for the start of the Babylonian Empire from 626 BC to 624BC. To our surprise all of them are correct. Let me explain. In March 626 BC Nabopolassar, king of Chaldeans forced the Assyrians out of Uruk and crowned himself king of Babylonia. The twelve months after the accession year i.e. from March 625 BC to March 624 are recognized as the first year of his reign. Thus the year 624 is confirmed as the founding year of Babylonian Empire.

Step One

642 BC – 586 BC……..38 years

There are 38 years from the founding year of the Babylonian Empire until the destruction of Jerusalem and Salomon’s Temple by the same empire.

Step Two

Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther, three books in Old Testament tell the story about Jews returning from Babylon and about rebuilding of the Temple. Second Temple was finished in 516 C.

586 BC – 516 BC………70 years

Step Three

In 70 AD the second Temple is destroyed by Romans. This year also marks the beginning of the dispersion of Jews which lasted almost 2000 years.

516 BC – 70 AD…………………585 years

Step Four

This step brings us to the apex. In the year 691 AD Muslim Dome of the Rock was completed. 70 AD – 691 AD……………………………621 years

AND now the grand symmetry

Step Five

691 AD – 1312 AD…………………………..621 years

What of major importance happened in the year of 1312 connected with the temple area? Did you ever heard about Knights TEMPLAR? They were established in 1119 AD with their headquarters in the Dome of the Rock which the Crusaders believed to be Solomon’s temple. They eventually became very powerful and rich. In 1300 AD they had

15.000 members and had 9000 castles and manors. And then their doom come. In 1312 Pope Clement V under the persuasion of Philip IV of France abolished the Knights Templar and they were destroyed.

Step Six

1312 AD – 1897 AD…………………………….585 years

1897 is the year of the first ZIONIST Congress in Basel. Very important milestone.

Step Seven

1897 AD – 1967 AD……..70 years

In 1967 Isreal captured the east part of occupied Jerusalem. Also Temple area is captured

– after almost 1900 years!

Step Eight

1967 AD – 2005!…….38 years

2005? Well we will see as the year is not over yet. I will not speculate but as we saw this year marks the beginning of the fall of the corupt Babylon system around us. I’m sure about that.

One more sweet!

There are 2628 solar years from 624 BC to 2005 AD. Now turn them in prophetic years and we come to……..1967 AD! Isn’t God marvelous!

624 BC -------2628 solar yrs --------2005 AD 624 BC -------2590 prophetic yrs ---1967 AD

(2628x360)/365.24=2590

Conclusion

As it is shown above I think that these facts speak for themselves. It is obvious that God is in control. This should give us Christians grat pleasure. But is is warning to all others that they must turn themselves to our Great GOD and his Son Jesus Christ and seek salvation there. The time for doing this is very, very short.

Maranatha!
