Biblical Verification
For A Rebuilt Temple

There are some who are opposed to building a new temple in the Nation of Israel. Some say that such a fete would anger the Arabs and possibly launch World War Three. Moslems claim the Temple Mount as their own and any Temple plans would surely anger them. But know this, the Temple of God will be built again. The details and the events that will lead up to the building of the Temple are truly unknown at this time. We are told however by Yeshua that it will be a time of great distress:

For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now--and never to be equaled again. If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. Matthew 24: 21-22

For those of us who believe that the Bible is the final authority on everything, I present a few scriptures from both covenants that will prove that there will be a Temple built in Israel, in what I believe will be the near future. For those of you who don't believe that the Bible is the final authority on all matter, I implore you to read the following scriptures and then watch as the Lord allows history to unfold that Jesus is Lord and that He is the God of all future happenings.

He will confirm a covenant with many for one `seven.' In the middle of the `seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him. " Daniel 9:27

"His armed forces will rise up to desecrate the temple fortress and will abolish the daily sacrifice. Then they will set up the abomination that causes desolation. With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him. Daniel 11:31-32

"So when you see standing in the holy place `the abomination that causes desolation,' spoken of through the prophet Daniel--let the reader understand -- then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Matthew 24:15-16

Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers, not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of the Lord has already come. Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4

I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, "Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, and count the worshipers there. But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months. Revelation 11:1

We see that all of the scriptures above mention a temple in the last days of man's reign on Earth. It will be a time of distress among nations and especially in the area of Israel. The rebuilding of the Temple is mentioned in both covenants and the seal of authentication is placed on it by Yeshua The Messiah, Himself.

Now a lot of people might get a feeling of impending doom because this proves that we are getting closer to a time when all hell will break loose. We must look forward to the final result of the story which is the return of Messiah Yeshua and the establishment of a world ruled by God. Blessed is He who comes in the Name of The Lord!
