You No Longer Have Unclean Lips:

We were in church worshipping today and a really neat thing happened that I have to write about. We have wonderful worship times and our songs are real worship, not the candy coated stuff that I have had to sing at other places of worship.

One of the songs that we sing was a song that was given to a contemporary singing group called "Kutless." The song is called, "Take Me In," and its lyrics are as follows:

Take me past the outer courts
Into the Holy Place
Past the brazen altar
Lord I want to see your face
Pass me by the crowds of people
And the Priests who sing your praise
I hunger and thirst for your righteousness
But it's only found in one place

[Chorus:]
Take me into the holy of holies
Take me in by the blood of the lamb
Take me into the holy of holies
Take the coal, touch my lips, here I am

We sing this song a lot and it is usually placed in a medley of songs that lead up to a crescendo of worship. A lot of times I find myself with my face to the floor while we are in this part of worship. Anyway, this time was a bit different. I was on the floor, laying prostrate and Yahweh spoke to me.

Yahweh told me that I needed to read to the congregation, the place in Isaiah where he talks about being in heaven and what he saw there as this is where the words of the song come from. The scripture is in Isaiah, chapter six, and it reads:

In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain [two] he covered his face, and with twain [two] he covered his feet, and with twain [two] he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged. Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. And he said, Go, and tell this people....Isaiah 6:1-9a

So as the worship time came to a close there was a time of waiting upon Yahweh for instruction or encouragement from HIM. Yahweh had me stand up and read the scripture from Isaiah and then He had me speak.

He had me tell the people in our congregation that there were some there who felt like they had unclean lips. Yahweh said that they had believed a lie from Satan who had told them that since they had not measured up to what they thought Yahweh required from them, they were silent and did not feel that they could witness to the lost and dying of this world. He said that they felt like they would be hypocrites if they spoke and that their lives didn't exemplify what their conceived notion of what they thought Yahweh required of a holy people.

He then told me to to tell them that this notion was nonsense. He said that the blood of Yeshua made us all clean, and that it constantly did so. He said that it wasn't anything that anyone there could do to make themselves righteous enough to live up to their conception of holiness, but that only Yeshua's blood could make them clean enough to preach. He then said, "so, since you have the righteousness of Yahweh because of your belief in Yeshua you are clean. So, go out and preach the Gospel to the lost and know that I have made you righteousness and worthy to do so. You don't need hot coals, you have Me!"
