April 2009
WONDERFUL APRIL BLESSINGS TO YOU! Well, it is April, probably my favorite month of the year, this year anyway. April for me symbolizes spring and fresh beginnings. It isn’t coincidental that both Passover and Resurrection Day occur during this time of year. Passover is a celebration of freedom; the freedom of the Sons of Israel from the bondage of Mizraim (Egypt). Yahweh commanded the tribes of Israel to celebrate their freedom by setting aside seven days, starting the 14th day of Nissan. The command that I find interesting is that Yahweh told the sons of Israel that they were to keep the feast forever: ‘For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD. Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt. ‘So this day shall be to you a memorial; and you shall keep it as a feast to the LORD throughout your generations. You shall keep it as a feast by an everlasting ordinance. Exodus 12:12-14 Since the sons of Israel were commanded to celebrate Passover perpetually, I feel that I have to keep that special day too. This year Lourdes and I will attend a Passover Seder at a local Messianic Congregation. It will be a first for her and I know that she will be blessed. We all know that Yeshua is our Passover Lamb, but the correlation between how the ceremony started the last night that Israel’s sons were in Egypt and how Yeshua fulfilled Passover by his own sacrifice is incredibly amazing. If you ever have a chance to pick up a Messianic Passover Haggadah it would be to your advantage. You can get one from Jews for Jesus online or pick one up at a local Messianic Jewish congregation. Another good source is a book from Jews for Jesus titled, “Christ In The Passover,” which is very informative. Resurrection Day is without a doubt our favorite Christian Holy Day. Our pastor agrees with us where this is concerned. Yeshua’s birth was a wonderful thing and quite miraculous, but the early church never celebrated it. They saw more merit in celebrating the day of Yeshua’s resurrection which is a day of victory not only for Yeshua, but for all of His followers too. Spring reminds us of this because it is the season when we come out of the death of winter and into the wonderful rebirth of life that occurs in spring. While these holidays happen in the spring and we remember that they occur in the spring, perhaps we might give thought that Yahweh created spring and the new life that comes during that season as a pointer toward the day when His only Son would rise from the grave and offer eternal life to everyone who believes on His Name. If anyone other than Lourdes and myself celebrate Passover than we wish you a wonderful week and may Yeshua reveal Himself to you more and more through the meaning of this wonderful celebration. For everyone we wish you a wonderful Resurrection Day and we pray the same, that He will reveal Himself in wonderful and special ways as we celebrate His resurrection and the promise of our upcoming resurrection. May we meet him all in the air very soon!
LET US GET FINALLY CLEANED UP I tried to think about how this article could be presented without offending any of you reading it. We do love you all and we care about all of you and believe it or not, we pray for all of you too. We ask that you please take those things into account when you read what I am about to write. I think that everyone has felt the urgency that the Ruach Ha Kodesh has been showing us is necessary in these last days. We’ve seen that many of you are being humbled and brought low and we’re included in this too. One brother wrote to tell us that he lost his job in January and that he was looking for new work; hoping that he could work from home so that he wouldn’t have to answer to anyone. Another brother wrote and said that recently he lost his job that paid him pretty well. He found another job but it pays less and now the bill collectors have been haranguing him. It isn’t just jobs that have been affecting people. Some have come down with illnesses. A dear sister of ours has had lupus for over thirty years and she has suffered dearly. Recently her stomach stopped working and she came down with pneumonia. I haven’t been feeling too well because of the heel injury and taking care of me has caused Lourdes to become run down. She was born with a heart defect, and although she had surgery for it at a very young age and it is fixed, she still gets tired very easily. Recently she has been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease; what is commonly called hypothyroid. The one thing that I have realized in all of these things is that the people involved have really turned to Yeshua for their help. Our brother who lost his job is trusting Yeshua for another job and a better job at that. The brother who has the lower paying job knows that times are hard, but he is happy to have a job at all. Miraculously our sister with lupus became better right after Lourdes and I prayed with her husband over the phone. She can eat now and the pneumonia is getting better. My ankle gets better every day and the outlook for returning to work in April will become a reality. Even though the enemy is throwing all that he can at us, all of us are starting to see Yahweh’s provision. I have to admit that this ankle thing hasn’t been easy. I like to work and I count on the money coming in every two weeks and the benefits that come with my job. From the beginning things didn’t turn out too well. The HMO plan that I have dragged their feet and I almost lost the FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) that would guarantee my job when I am better. I was looking at the bills that were starting to pile up and that overwhelmed me. I felt like less than a man when it came to being a provider for my wife and our household. One night in desperation I cried out to Yeshua. I asked him what He was doing and asked him why we were going through all of this stuff. Now bear in mind that this is about two weeks after I was injured. I’ve never been to a lower point that I can remember; well, maybe once. Anyway, the next day I got a call from my boss’s insurer, Aetna, and they told me that they finally got the paperwork from my HMO and that my FMLA was approved. In the mean time, two people sent us a hundred dollars each and that really blessed us. Lourdes and I sold the gold and coins that we both had and we got enough to pay some of our bills. Soon I got confirmation from state disability that I would be getting benefits that are just thirty dollars less than my paycheck. The blessings started coming in like a flood. Lourdes and I went to church a week ago and we were blessed to find out that the church took two offerings that day, and one of them was for us so that we can pay our April rent for this apartment. Our little church pulled together and funded the entire amount. We are still amazed. Why is all of this stuff happening? Well, first thing is that Yeshua loves us and he reminded us of the sermon on the mount where the provisions are concerned. Second is that we are living in His will and in obedience and He rewards those things. The third thing is that His Church is starting to act like The Church again. One of our donators, who when I thanked him said to me, “hey, I’m just doing what we’re all supposed to be doing, so don’t thank me, thank Yeshua.” The other donator said something similar, “Yahweh laid this on my heart and I knew that I had to do it.” And my pastor, Pastor Tom Mooney said, “This is what the Church is all about, helping one another in a time of need.” The rewards for being obedient are incredible, and it seems that He always causes those rewards to come in our time of need, not in the time of plenty. Our Major Burden – Revival! We have noticed that there are some that we have seen on our travels out and about and yes, sometimes in the churches, who aren’t being very obedient to the voice of Yahweh Yeshua. Lourdes and I have a burden for there to be a revival in our church and also in the surrounding communities and all of the Sacramento Valley. We see the revival in Mexico and how people are being blessed; how many are coming to faith in Yeshua; how many are seeing the mighty works of Yahweh, even seeing the dead raised back to life. We sit and contemplate why this isn’t happening in the United States. We hear of spot revivals in places like Brownsville, Pensacola, Toronto and Lakeland but we see that people have to travel to those revivals. When a revival really gets going it should spread like wildfire. It doesn’t just stay on one locality, but it overtakes a land like a horde of locusts that consumes the enemy camp and totally decimates Satan’s kingdom and builds Yahweh’s kingdom up in souls. Why isn’t this happening? Well, perhaps it is because of disobedience. My dad once told me that when I wanted to wash the car I needed to use a clean rag. In his words, “you can’t wash dirt with dirt.” Perhaps many in the Church aren’t clean and Yeshua can’t wash dirt with dirt? Well, it’s something to ruminate on anyway. It is a well established fact that when it comes to correction, Yahweh starts with His Own House. This is done for several reasons. First, we know that Yeshua is coming back for Bride that without spot or wrinkle. That means that he is coming back for a perfect people. Second, we know that you can’t wash dirt with dirt and this is a problem. Imagine sending out a people to minister who are just like the world. What difference is there to prove to the sinners that Yeshua changes people when they come to him. If we are not accountable to Yeshua then how can we tell them that they need to be accountable to Him. Third, we need to be cleaned up because when the revival does come the churches will fill up with people and we will need to have our acts together so that we can minister to them effectively. Not doing so would be like going to a gas station that has no gas or a sandwich shop that doesn’t have sandwiches. There is no profitability in either of those places nor is there any in believers in Yeshua who are believers in word and not in deed. And lastly, and maybe most importantly, we need to be cleaned up because he requires that of us and doing so is acting in obedience to him. Our Commission From Yahweh: One of the things that Lourdes and I feel burdened to share with our brothers and sisters is that we need to be like Yeshua and not like the world. Perhaps it is because we live in California and this state is so liberal that we have noticed that Christians have gone out of their way lately to become like the world and their worldly friends. Most this has been manifesting itself by many brothers and sisters in Yeshua Ha Mashiach marking their bodies with tattoos and having piercings cut into their skin. Yahweh recognizes that things such as tattoos that people got before they came to faith in him are not easily changeable. Some have gone to great pains to have demonic and/or sexual tattoos changed into more palatable images and that is to be applauded. But to get such things after one belongs to Yeshua is not an acceptable practice. I thought about ways to make that last sentence more politically correct, but I don’t feel that Yahweh would have me do that. I know that there are some who will read this article who will hold me to my own standard, in that I show chapter, text and verse for what is being conveyed here. We find such a commandment in Leviticus: You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the LORD. Leviticus 19:28 And for those who would try to circumvent the scripture above, stating that we are now under grace and that the scripture in Leviticus is the “Torah (Law)” and we are not bound by the Torah anymore, the Apostle Paul offers to us Yahweh’s New Covenant thoughts on the matter: I beg you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:1-2 I think that we can safely say that if the world and especially our peers in the world are involved in any sort of activity then we should be repulsed by it. Of course there are still some worldly altruistic people out there who help the poor and the orphan and the widow, but it has to be said that they are mimicking godly things and thus if we do those things we are only doing what we are commanded to do anyway. But we should be wary before joining them in their activities because their works might be to the glory of other gods or of organizations that are opposed to the truth. For instance, it would not be a good idea to work in a soup kitchen operated by the Hare Krishna’s because Krishna would get the glory and people would be drawn to him. It is a wise idea to pray every morning that the Ruach Ha Kodesh would guide each and every one of us on our daily adventures. Praying for Yahweh’s wisdom and His guidance is wisdom in itself. Since we’re the temple of the Ruach Ha Kodesh it would be wise to ask His Ruach where our temple shall go every day and what we should adorn the outside walls of the temple with. The key words here are that we are HIS Temple and that being the case, we should ask the Temple Owner what He wants done with His Temple. It’s Probably a Good Idea to Learn How to Judge Correctly: Writing an article like this is hard because there is a fine line between standing for righteousness and standing with a religious spirit. There are too many people in the church today who chant the mantra that says, “you’re judging me and Yeshua said that we are not to judge.” Well, that is true when it comes to passing out condemnations and false judgments, but it is not true when we are seeing something for what it is. Yeshua told us that it is perfectly okay to judge a tree by the fruit that it bears. Paul had to tell one of the churches that it was being too lax. They had become just like the church today, afraid to step on toes and offend people by telling them the truth. Well personally, I would rather offend a brother or sister and keep them from going to hell rather than keeping quiet and having to live for eternity with the knowledge that my silence was responsible for sending them to hell. Paul tells us that it is perfectly acceptable to judge another person and he even rebuked the Church in Corinth for not doing it:
Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the
world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest
matters? Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more,
things that pertain to this life? If then you have judgments
concerning things pertaining to this life, do you appoint those who
are least esteemed by the church to judge? I say this to your shame.
Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you, not even one, who
will be able to judge between his brethren?
The reason why believers accuse other believers of judging is simply because the Church doesn’t teach correctly on the matter nor do they use it correctly in many cases. Perhaps the church in Corinth fell into the same politically correct false teaching; teaching that correction should never be done because it is an affront to Yahweh, or that it will hurt the self-esteem of the person being corrected. Well first of all, Yahweh’s Word says that we’re supposed to discriminate between right and wrong. Secondly, if a person esteems themselves then that is a big problem because self-esteem is another word for “pride” and that is something that we’re supposed to kill when we put the flesh to death. To say that we’re supposed to keep quiet when we see a brother sinning is not a Biblical doctrine, but more of a doctrine of demons. Judging Correctly vs. Political Correctness: Recently I have taken the approach that when it comes to people attacking the Bible, Yahweh or holy doctrine that I am not going to keep silent anymore. Granted, I have spoken out a lot, but I have known in my heart that I have needed to speak out a lot more. Last week I read an article that talked about Joe Jordan and our ministry to help alien abductees. As is usual, there was a comment section at the end and I was offended at what some of the people were saying. So, I chimed in and for doing that I was labeled as offensive, obnoxious, and my favorite, “not nice.” I wrote again, not to make any apologies, but to tell people that for too long Christians have been silent, not wanting to offend people and they have done this out of love. Love can cause people to accept Yeshua and go to heaven, but not talking because you might think that you will offend people will keep them from there too. People of the world often make the mistake that Christians have to be peaceniks and because of this they feel that they can slap us around and we have to sit there and take it. I have to say that if Yahweh tells someone that they need to be a whipping post in order for them to come to Yeshua then this should be done. I did this once while on a construction job. It was humiliating for me as my peers saw me being abused, sometimes physically, day in and day out. I stayed the course and took it and there was fruit from that. The man who abused me came up to me at the end of the job and told me that he was ashamed of himself and that he was sorry. He honored me for being a good believer in Yeshua and asked me what he needed to do to get right with Yahweh. I told him how to get right with Yahweh and we never saw each other again. I can only trust that Yeshua welcomed this man into His Kingdom sometime afterward. Many people have not read the scriptures and they see Yeshua as a person who never got mad and never said anything to anyone to offend them. Well, this is not the Yeshua of the Bible. Yeshua often rebuked people and I am sure that people in His day labeled him as “not nice.” What we have forgotten as a people is that sometimes people need a strong hand. People who don’t know Yeshua personally are often like spoiled little children that lash out at others and cause mayhem. The Bible is quite clear that if the rod is spared then the child is spoiled. The reason why so many people are the way that they are today is that they never had discipline when they were growing up. They bullied their parents and siblings and they got away with it. They do the same thing to believers in Yeshua. They know that most believers will cower away from them if they are assertive and they use that assertiveness in order to “put us in our place.” Well, not us, not anymore. We’re not going to cower. I wrote back to one of the antagonists that wrote against Joe and I, and I told him that they better get ready. I told them that Christians aren’t going to stay in the foxhole any longer. I told them that from now on they are going to notice militancy in Christians that they have never seen before. When we tell them the truth and they counter our talk by telling us that we are being mean, or that we are narrow minded then my response is going to be to tell them that my niceness isn’t getting through to them so I have to take other avenues. And yes, I am narrow minded, and that aspect of my behavior is going to continue because I’m going to hound them until they realized the truth. It might be that narrow-mindedness that keeps them from the fires of hell. Several years ago I became a member of a bulletin board on the internet. I probably would not have joined but it was a board that was administered by a brother in Yeshua who had a passion to see evolutionists come to Yeshua and get saved. There was one obnoxious poster who would constantly beat down this brother and it bothered me. I started to write to this man and he tried to do the same to me. So, what I did was I wrote to him and told him that his belief in evolution was akin to someone having two tons of iron ore dumped on their lawn and waiting for that ore to turn into a Chevy Pickup truck. We wrote back and forth for a couple of weeks and after each post I would ask him how the truck evolution was coming along. After about a month of this I noticed that he stopped writing. The brother who was administering the site said that this man had stopped posting on the site and that he also took down all of the comments that he had previously written. Now I don’t know exactly what happened, but the fact that he took down all of his posts causes me to think that maybe he had a change of heart concerning evolution. Now some might think that I was being sarcastic or obnoxious, but this sort of attitude caused this man to think, so much so that he removed his belief of evolution off of the postings. The point that I’m trying to convey here is that sometimes we have to fight with different weapons in order to be victorious. People are sort of like fires. There are many kinds of fires but for firefighting standards they are placed into four classifications; A, B, C, D. Each fire classification needs a special way to extinguish it. A class “D” fire is one that involves burning metals like magnesium. If you try to put a magnesium fire out with water you are in danger because water makes the fire worse and could cause the metal to explode. If you’re fighting a class “C” fire you would be foolish to use water because this class of fire usually involves energized electrical equipment. Christians that always take the “peacenik” approach to ministering to everyone will many times be defeated by those who are respect a more aggressive posture. Christians who take an aggressive approach will almost always scare away a more peace loving person. The thing is that we need to be flexible and not think that one way is right or wrong. It all depends on the person that we are ministering to. What we do is we ask Yahweh to give us wisdom about each and every situation that we find ourselves in. Obedience, It’s Price and Its Rewards: Sometimes the hardest people to talk to are our fellows believers. Probably the hardest thing to experience is the feeling of rejection. Nobody likes to be rejected but again we have to look at the price that might be paid for catering to our fear of rejection. We have to always be careful that we pray in earnest about what we say to other people. We must constantly ask if our actions are out of the flesh or if they are genuinely from the Ruach Ha Kodesh. That is why a word should never be given in haste. I have found that when I have to give a word to a brother or sister, and the word is from the Ruach Ha Kodesh that my flesh usually hems and haws about giving the word. My flesh tries to think about all of the ramifications and how persecution can ensue or how the word will be rejected and the person who the word is for will suffer because they reject the word. Two years ago I was given a word to give to someone and it was very hard for me. Yahweh gave me the word in February or March and I questioned Yahweh for months, finally giving the word to them in July. This person had the means to cause a lot of trouble and to turn some people away from our ministry. The thing is that I didn’t trust Yahweh to keep the ministry protected. Finally, Yahweh got through to me and He told me that since He was the author of the ministry and that we had dedicated it to Him, that he was big enough to protect it. Well, as it turns out, this person did cause trouble and two or three people left because of what he did in response to the word and also some things that Yahweh told me to reveal about the shenanigans of this person. Well even though we lost those members and the name of The Delusion Resistance was run through the mill, Yeshua brought glory to Himself because of our obedience. The price for obedience sometimes seem a bit high, but when time passes and everything is pressed down, shaken together and running over the reward is that obedience makes our Father happy and that brings us joy. Obedience doesn’t just come by going out and telling everyone about Yeshua. The act of witnessing is just one part of obedience. Obedience comes by loving people, even when they aren’t lovable. It comes in feeding and caring for the poor, the widow and the orphan. Obedience comes with reading the Bible and believing that it is correct from cover to cover, and defending it in front of people who believe otherwise. Obedience comes in obeying the still small voice that tells you to do something righteous when others say that it is foolish to do so. Obedience comes from a willingness to be called out from others even though you might be ostracized and even hated by those whom we love the most. Be sure that if you are walking in righteousness through Yeshua, you will be persecuted. My pastor says to our congregation, “if you are walking in righteousness, know for sure that you will be a target.” Things will happen to you that will defy comprehension, but that is because those who walk in righteousness get the attention of Satan. He knows that walking a righteous life is the deepest aspiration of the human soul. That is because we were created to love Yahweh. For those who were sanctified for Yahweh before the foundation of the world it is core foundation for our being, and even before we came to know Yeshua as our Lord and Savior we knew that we needed to do just that. Everyone who is saved can look back on their life before they came to faith in Yeshua and they can see the miraculous things that Yahweh did to preserve them, and they can see their rebelliousness as foolishness. We’re heading into some bad days ahead and those of us who remain faithful to Yeshua will suffer for our faith. We think that you’ve felt the evil that is enveloping this world. Almost everyone, even those without the Ruach Ha Kodesh can feel that there is trouble on the horizon and they feel scared. In the first epistle of Peter, the fourth chapter we are given instructions of how to conduct ourselves during times of persecution. We’ll end this article by presenting that chapter so that you can reflect and meditate on it: Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God. For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles—when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries. In regard to these, they think it strange that you do not run with them in the same flood of dissipation, speaking evil of you. They will give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. For this reason the gospel was preached also to those who are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
Serving for God’s Glory
Suffering for God’s Glory
For the time
has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if
it begins with us first, what will be the end of those
who do not obey the gospel of God? Now “If the righteous one is
scarcely saved, Where will the ungodly and the sinner
appear?” Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of
God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful
Creator.
HOW ABOUT A BOOK UPDATE? Some of you might be wondering how things are going with the book writing. Well, pretty good is the answer. I really don’t like sitting around too much and there was really not much to do while I was laid up with the bum Achilles heel problem. So, I sat at the computer quite a bit this whole time I have been off and I really put my nose to the grindstone and worked on the book. The good thing was that I had started on many of the chapters and they just needed to be completed. Back when I started I asked Jim Wilhelmsen how he wrote his book. At that time I was working on a chapter and would find myself getting bored with the chapter or running out of ideas for writing. Jim told me that if that happened that I should work on another chapter for a while and that way I would still be productive and work would progress. That is what I did and that is why many of the chapters were not completed. Finishing up half chapters really made things easier for me. I would open a chapter and see that it was half done or a quarter done and I would then proceed. It made writing the book a lot more fun and took a lot of the burden off of me. After a couple of weeks it was pretty well done. At this time I am just waiting for Joe Jordan’s testimony and a couple more that he suggests should be in the book and it will be finished. A lot of people ask if we will have a difficult time getting a publisher for the book. Well, maybe normally, but when Joe told Tom Horn that we were writing this book he asked if we would let him publish it. How do you turn an offer like that down? A couple of weeks ago Tom wrote to me and asked when the rough draft of the book would be ready for him to read and I told him that we’re just waiting for Joe’s life story and it would be done. I’m looking forward to getting this one under my belt because when it is done I’m going to start another book. The new book will be about the subject of time and how Yahweh made it and uses it and such. Jim Wilhelmsen and I will be working together on that book. I’ll tell you that I can’t even put into words the blessing that is has been, working with Jim and Joe over these past years. Each one of us has had a little different angle working in our field yet we’re so incredibly alike in the overall view. Looking back at the last four years it is remarkable to see how Yahweh has used all of us and how when one piece of the puzzle was missing Yahweh would give it to one of us so that we could have an answer to something that has perplexed us. Now I have been blessed even further with Lourdes who is a plane that Yahweh is using to round off some of the rough edges that I have. What a team that we have, and with the addition of the Delusion Resistance members and all of the other counselors we are truly a force to be reckoned with. So, if Yahweh can prod Joe along a little more and we can get the rough copy of the book submitted to Tom Horn relatively soon then perhaps the book could be out by the end of the year, or even sooner if Yahweh so wills it.
WE MADE A “MYSPACE SORTIE” THIS WEEK A few years ago I started a MySpace account. I did that primarily because I was teaching Sunday School at the time and I noticed that a lot of my students were using MySpace as a communication medium. Having been a kid once I know the value of such a medium and that it can be used for good and for bad. Not that I thought that any of my students would do anything bad on purpose, but knowing how the world is and how alluring it is to the teenage mind especially, I thought that my account would be valuable in knowing if they were behaving themselves or not. It also gave me an avenue to let them know about school events that the youth group would be going to. I have to say that MySpace is quite a good monitoring tool for keeping an eye on the kids. I sent all of the kids a “friend invitation” and all of them accepted. This has worked beyond my wildest hopes and aspirations and has allowed me to be a nanny of sorts. When you are a friend of someone on MySpace you get all of the bulletins that they post and you can go to their site to see what they’re trying to tell all of their peers, and their old teacher. One of the girls started to exhibit bad language and I noticed that she was sort of letting her other friends know that she was becoming sexually active. I shot an e-mail off to her warning her of her actions and letting her know that I was available to talk to, like a big brother of sorts. Since her mother is a bad role model in this regard and her father is not around it would be of no use to talk to her mom. I offered her name up at our prayer night and let our pastor know what she was up to; not to tell on her, but so that if he knew of any other avenue to help her, he would know about what was going on and could use the information for this girl’s welfare. This girl wrote back to me and told me that she wasn’t as bad as her page made her sound and that she would consider my words before doing bad things. Other times some of the kids would pick up bad vernacular, using those words in bulletins and other places on their sites. I write to them to tell them about their talk and how they should be more like Yeshua and avoid the world. Almost all of the time they write back and thank me for pointing them in the right direction. These are only two of the many things that I have been able to do to help these kids and such. So, no matter how bad that some people think MySpace is, and they have a good reason to think those things; it can be used as a medium to further holiness and righteousness. One thing bothers me about MySpace though. I see it as one of the biggest wasters of time that there is. I really think that there are more important things to do, like prayer, Bible reading and in person fellowship; these things being much more valuable than wasting time on what is an electronic gossip spreader. The posting of bulletins has really bothered me too, especially when “surveys” are passed around. Surveys consist of anywhere from three to fifty questions that the reader is supposed to answer, and most of them are lifestyle questions. Granted, these things could be useful to get to know someone better, but in most cases, especially where my “friends” are concerned, they already know most of the personal things about everyone else. The other day I felt sort of a frustration when I was looking and seeing the questions and answers that my “friends” were passing along. I noticed that none of the questions had anything to do about Yeshua, His Kingdom, His Salvation or anything else about our faith. All of a sudden a lot of questions came into my mind and I understood right away that Yeshua wanted me to formulate a bulletin. It was to be one that would cause them to think about their faith, or lack thereof, and the ramifications of that faith or the actions of not following the commandments of Yeshua. Here are the questions that I asked:
Well, this is probably the first survey that any of them have ever filled out that has to do with anything Yeshua related. I don’t know, but I sort of felt the pain that Yeshua must feel when all of these people who claim to love Him (and they probably really do) just sit around asking questions that really do not matter. Just think about if you were at a party and people at the party claimed that you were the VIP of the party but the people at the party just ignored you and talked about everything but you. I really don’t think that American Christians have realized that we are in the very last days. They are still in that “it cannot happen here” mentality. It is like when the people in Yerushalayim didn’t think that the Babylonians would come crashing through the walls of the city and they got a reality check. Pretty soon the reality check will arrive on the shores of America and just like the Jews in 586 BC came to realize that they had been foolish and had ignored Yahweh, so will be the case with the people (and the Christians) of the United States. We can only hope that even if people won’t answer my bulletin on MySpace, they will read it and perhaps they will have a reality check before it is too late. My pastor’s wife has a lot of little sayings that really bless me. One of them is “don’t mess with God.” This simple little phrase is so powerful and it is not just a compilation of five words (don’t is a compound of two words) but it is also a powerful truth. Countless nations have messed with the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and many of them have faded away into obscurity. If whole peoples have been scattered to the winds for treating Yahweh with disregard then individuals who do the same thing are in danger of suffering the same fate. Those of us who call ourselves followers of Yahweh have to realize that Yahweh Yeshua is our future. Throughout all of eternity we’ll be praising Him and worshipping Him but people forget that we’re in part of eternity now. That being so true we should be give him praise and worship right now. People often wait till Sunday to give Him the praise and honor that He is due, but our little existence is not between eternity past and eternity future. No, we exist within a linear existence that is within eternity and we need to make Yeshua the most important aspect of our lives every day, every hour and every second.
When things start to get bad sometime in the near future we’ll have
one thing on our mind. That thing will be that because of
persecution we could go to be with Yeshua at any time. At that time
He’ll be the sole thought on our minds. But Lourdes and I ask
everyone, “why not start now?”
REMNANT CALL NEWS The Remnant Call meetings have been a lot of fun lately. We’ve been having wonderful times of fellowship with many different believers. Yahweh has given us a core group of around ten believers who visit every Monday and Thursday. Jim’s teachings every other Thursday have been very interesting. He puts together at least two videos that he shows during his teaching times on Thursday. I’ve been teaching on the Days of Noah series on my Thursdays. We still get nefarious interlopers who come into the room from time to time but Jim and I have a way of making them leave. We don’t want to ban people from the room and for the most part we will try to reason with people. We like to listen to other opinions and we let people present their ideas if they remain respectful of all of the other people. We’ve found that people who offer doctrines that do not have a biblical foundation will usually become disruptive and abusive in language after a time. The two different spirits cannot coexist together. As you all know, there are many who call themselves Christians but they have no idea what a Christian is. For instance, we had one fellow visit the room one night and all he talked about was how evil the government is, how bad the world is and other such things. I listened for a while and then I wrote in the room and asked a question. I said, “you know, you have been telling everyone how rotten everything is but you have not offered any hope or any biblical solution to these problems. Where is Jesus in this discussion and where is grace and mercy? I haven’t heard any of those things.” Well, all of a sudden I was accused of being judgmental and I was told that I had an attitude. Yahweh had revealed to me at the beginning that these three people (this man and two associates) weren’t really believers, but just came into the room to disrupt. The questions that I asked them stirred up the spirit of error that these three men had and they started to get very abusive in their writing. Jim warned them that they were getting out of line and they got worse. Finally we bounced them from the room and banned them too. One thing that worldly people do not have nor do false believers have it either, is the gift of discernment that is given from the Ruach Ha Kodesh. Because of this gift it is so that when someone not genuine comes into the room I can see their falseness. It is really a blessing to have this gift and through it Yahweh has me ask questions of these people that cause them to reveal their true nature. To Yahweh be all the glory!!
Around the 20th of March Yahweh gave me his plans to put
together a website that tells people about the Remnant Call. If
anyone wants to check out that site it is at:
www.remnantcall144k.net . At the site you can read about our
vision for this ministry. You can also read about how Yahweh called
us to this ministry and you can see the times that we meet and the
rules for the chat room.
WE DID THE RADIO AGAIN In the 23rd of March I was blessed to do another blogtalk radio show. This time I was interviewed by Byron LeBeau from Cursed-Net radio show on blogtalk. I know that earlier last year I had expressed that I had my reservations about being interviewed by people from a site that has “cursed” in their name. Well, I jumped to a snap judgment on that one. The reason why their name is Cursed-Net is because LeBeau co-authored a book that talks about the devil weaving a cursed net over the earth. I stand corrected and retract that statement.
The interview went very well. Byron asked me about my life,
especially when I was young and how my dad influenced my belief in
UFOs and aliens. Later we talked about MUFON and how they are moving
toward becoming a New Age organization. Well, the end result is that
we got to present MUFON as that New Age organization and we used the
words of James Carrion which he wrote to me via e-mail. You can
download the mp3 of our talk if you go to the following link:
Well, that ends another month of Journal from The Delusion Resistance. I was going to apologize for the newsletter being late but as long as it is still within the first two days of April it is not late. So, in order to meet the deadline we will end the Journal now. We hope and pray that you will receive many blessings from Yahweh Yeshua. As we become more and more obedient we will become more and more like Him and we will shine like the noonday sun twenty four hours a day. |
