THE OFFICE OF A PROPHET

When I was a young believer in Yeshua I would often wonder what gifts Yahweh would give to me in order that I could bring glory to Him. I often wondered about and prayed to know what my calling was. Back then a very popular thing to do was to head off to Bible College. Most of the people that I knew, who went to Bible college went there so that they could get a degree so that they could become pastors. This is a very noble thing to do and Yahweh will honor that if the person is heeding Yahweh’s calling and they are not going to college because it is the cool thing to do at the time. What brought me a lot of sadness was that some men were going to Bible College to become pastors, but they went because they knew that the aspiration of many Christian women (at that time anyway) was to be the wife of a pastor. Many women went off to Bible College to find the future pastor that they felt they were ordained to marry.

Having always been a person that goes against the grain, and someone who sees things unpopular to the world as being popular to Yahweh, I began to pray about Yahweh leading me to a prophetic calling. There are a lot of people out there who are looking for recognition or they are looking for their day in the sun. As far as I can ascertain I have never been that way. I would rather sit in the back of the church than the front. In school I sat in the back so that I would not be recognized by the teacher and in gym class I was glad that my last name started with an “R” so that I would not be the first person called to be a team leader and such.

In addition to that character trait, there is another that many see as undesirable. My mother told me when I was a small child that I should not be a follower, but that I should be a leader. Now if you think that this contradicts what I wrote just above, it really doesn’t. While I’ve never been a leader per se, I strongly resist being part of movements that many quickly jump into. Ever since I was a young boy I could sense that if people were grouping toward something then it might not be necessarily a good thing to participate in. I realized that people were basically flock animals that could be easily led astray. It has never been easy to be this way because others usually see it as an antisocial trait or they think that I am hypercritical or something of the like.

When I was a young believer in Yeshua I had a wonderful mentor whose name is Ed Farmer. Ed had led a less than desirable life before he came to faith in Yeshua and that life had taught him many lessons. Yahweh instructs us to not look back at our past when we are born again and I believe that He meant that we should not long after what we were prior to our conversion. I do believe that he allows us to look back at how much we failed before we came to faith in Him so that we can remember just what it is that He has saved us from. One of the things that Ed taught me was to pray about everything and to wait on Yeshua for answers, no matter how long it takes. The Ruach Ha Kodesh taught me many things via Ed and I will forever be grateful to Yahweh and also to Ed who did what he was told to do in my regard.

Many of those young men who were my contemporaries did run off to Bible College and they did become pastors. Some who had servant’s hearts went there, became pastors and they are still pastors today. Others, who went there thinking that when they graduated they would become pastors, drive nice cars, have big houses and large churches sooner or later found out that the things taught by the prosperity teachers were really lies from Satan. Sure they got the pretty Christian wife, and the nice house and the nice car; and they probably got the respect of many in the church who also strove for those things, either in whole or in part; but like Yeshua said, they got their reward in this life. They also realized that they were fleshly and corrupt. If they could listen to Yahweh they repented and took a long time off to mourn over their sinfulness and they prayed for and received restoration.

I am often torn by what I see these days in the prophetic community. In many ways I see a repetition of the Old Testament prophetic scriptures. People often write to me and ask me if I have visited one of the many prophetic sites on the internet to read supposed prophecies given to this person or that person. I often have a strong answer to those asking me that question. When I have gone to those sites in the past I have grieved over what I have seen. I see men and women who tout their supposed prophetic gift like it is some sort of badge of honor. I see them giving honor to their own gift and elevating it over all of the other gifts. I’ve seen prophets try to take over churches, proclaiming that pastors are no longer needed and subjugating the other church members in almost a cult-like manner.  On the prophetic websites I have see a competition that makes me nauseous. I’m sure that if some executive television promoter would suggest that there be some new sort of reality show called, “The World’s Greatest Prophet,” most of those on these prophetic websites and chat rooms would trample over each other trying to get to the casting room first. In an effort to come against every abomination, they themselves have become an abomination before Yahweh’s eyes. In those prophetic sites one can see a variety of different prophecies about the same subjects. Do these people really think that Yahweh is dualistic in His ways and the messages that He is supposedly sending to so many? All that anyone has to do is to look at the current prophetic community and compare to the one in Judah during the time of Isaiah or Jeremiah and the correlation will sober them very quickly.

As far as I am concerned, and I believe that Yahweh agrees with me; if a person walks around proudly proclaiming the name “prophet,” or “apostle,” or any other title then they should be observed with a wary eye. Many times having such a name as a title is an indication that there is pride in their lives. They are really no different than the self proclaimed intelligencia who proudly accentuate the Masters or Ph.D. suffix behind their names. It doesn’t matter if a person has a BS or MS or Ph.D. or H2S after their name but they don’t have love, humility and grace as well as common sense in their heart and mind. Interestingly enough we have some people like this that will meander from time to time into our Remnant Call chat room on Monday and Thursday nights. We’ve noticed that they try to take over the room right from the start. They’re versed quite well in scripture and in some things they have correct Biblical interpretation. But when they are pressed about something they will often become belligerent.

Take for example a person who goes by the moniker “ApostleDBM,” on Paltalk. Right from the start I felt the Ruach Ha Kodesh discerning to me that this person was going to be a problem. It wasn’t long before this became a reality. The room was chatting about the Swine Flu epidemic when this “Apostle” person started to tell everyone in the room that they should be drinking colloidal silver to ward off the flu and many other virus’s. This bothered me because this man isn’t a doctor nor is he any sort of pharmacist so his information could not be backed up. I started to ask him a lot of questions about pharmacology and chemistry and he started to become frustrated. Finally I asked him if he would be willing to minister to people who got sick or maybe even died because of the concoction that he was promoting. This supposed apostle then told me to go to hell just before he left the room. Well, he might be an apostle, but what kingdom is he representing?

There are certain prerequisites that precede a prophet of Yahweh. Let’s take a look at some of the major fundamentals that go before a real prophet of Yahweh:

Prophets of Yahweh are Called:

What does it mean to be called? Well, it doesn't mean that Yahweh one day decides that you are going to be a prophet. Called means that you were chosen from before the foundation of the world to be what Yahweh wants you to be. It doesn't mean that you can choose to be a prophet but it was endowed upon you at your conversion as an office that Yahweh had reserved for you and knew that He would release it in your life when the time was right.

We can see two instances where prophets were chosen before they were even born; the first being King David, and the second being the Prophet Yirmayahu (Jeremiah):

I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly. Psalm 22:10

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. Jeremiah 1:5

Prophets look at things from a different angle:

I think that most people who have been gifted with the Prophetic Office will agree that even before they came to faith in Yeshua they looked at things from a different angle; from another perspective. Incidentally, this can be generational.

Take for instance the men in the Ruffino family. My grandfather was Italian and he lived in places like Brooklyn, New York and East Rutherford, New Jersey. Neither place was a good place to live and corruption took a hold of just about everyone. My grandfather hated corruption and he stood for righteousness, even when he wasn't a born again believer.

My grandfather was born into a strong Catholic family. Over the years he never felt good going to Catholic Church. In his words, "I never could reconcile seeing people act pious inside the church and then seeing them get into fistfights outside the church." Because he never felt right in the Catholic Church he visited other churches. Sometime during his search he became Born Again. Simply put, my grandfather was an oddity in our neighborhood. He was Italian which by all rights should have caused him to take the route of organized crime or some sort of nefarious activity, but he just couldn't. His abhorrence of Catholicism was incredibly rare for an Italian American in his day, but he had to choose righteousness over what other people were doing. Grandpa went to be with Yeshua in 1984, but Yeshua used him to show us what yearning for righteousness was all about.

My dad was sort of an oddball by worldly standards. I'm not going to say that he was a perfect father and there were times when faltered a great deal. My dad was quick to repent though and there were many times when he would humble himself with egg all over his face and apologize for his actions, and this was before he came to Yeshua. Dad often became frustrated because he strived for perfection in an imperfect world. He just could not reconcile the evil that he saw in this world with it being a normal way of life. He knew that there was a higher goal and he didn't see it in this world nor did he see it in the mainline churches that he attended.

My dad became born again not long after I did. Before my conversion to Yeshua my dad and I would argue a LOT! After my conversion I would do the things that he told me to do and treated him with respect. Well, after a few weeks of this behavior dad came into my room and asked me why I didn't fight with him anymore. I simply told dad that I was born again in Yeshua and that Yeshua had changed me. Dad wanted to know how to get what I had and I told him that he just needed to pray the sinners prayer and believe in Yeshua. The next Sunday dad was in church and he attended faithfully for many years. After a few years he noticed that a lot of churches were hypocritical and he stopped attending; but he never lost his faith in Yeshua. Later on in life dad became an apologist for our faith and contended with many Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons and Masons. His article on Masonry is located on our website and it has caused many people to write; some to thank us for the work, and others to persecute us for the work. Dad went to be with Yeshua in 1999, but he left a wonderful legacy.

My grandfather and dad set up a pretty good foundation for me. That doesn't mean that I learned right away from them, but they instilled a warning siren into my life that made me know right from wrong. I was an oddity to the ways of this world too. For instance, during the Six Day War and the Yom Kippur War I was one of the very few that hoped that Israel would win. Anti Semitism was rampant in New Jersey and it wasn't popular for someone to be a Zionist. Funny, I wasn't a Christian, yet I was a Zionist. I also wanted to practice Judaism which didn't make me possible with family and made me the butt of jokes with some aunts and uncles. My parents didn't know what to think of me.

My mother, although she was not yet born again was a praying woman and Yahweh heard her prayers. The Holy Spirit used to fall on me during certain times. Whenever there was a Yeshua movie on television I just had to watch it. Yeshua and His words always captivated me. When a scene would come in the movie where Yeshua would heal someone or when he gave his Sermon on the Mount I would be overcome in the Ruach and cry and weep, not for anything bad, but because of the love of Yeshua. Even during my times of extreme rebellion the Ruach Ha Kodesh would pull me back when I was venturing out too far and I always felt a conviction when I got high on drugs or did other wrong things.

It is such a blessing to look back on our lives when we were rebellious and to see how Yahweh had his hands all over us and in every affair of our lives. Had I not been chosen from the foundation of the world I would be in prison or dead; but Yahweh had other plans for me. All of my life I have been the odd man out; the guy who didn't follow the others (for the most part anyway) and who saw the difference between right and wrong. I freely admit that it has been a blessing to be off of the beaten path. Many walk the wide path and they criticize and mock those who choose to walk the narrow path. One of the things that I have always done is to look at things that the majority of people are partaking in. If those things are compared to the Bible the are usually found wanting and they are not within the Will of Yahweh. It gets a person labeled as a heretic, or a troublemaker, or at best as judgmental or a Pharisee, but when one considers that Yahweh's opinion is more important than that of any man, it is far more important to please Him than any man.

Prophets must love Yahweh Totally:

Can anyone love Yahweh totally? Well, while we're in our earthly shell it is probably an impossibility to love Yahweh totally. There will always be an area where we will falter or there will be some area where our flesh will try to reign. Yahweh is the only one who knows our hearts and intentions, so we'll have to let Him be the judge as to the sincerity of each of His own.

The prophet must put Yahweh first on the list. From the opening of the eyes to the closing thereof at night Yahweh must be the priority. There are many things in this world that try to take out eyes off of where they should be, on Yahweh and on His Kingdom. The Ruach Ha Kodesh will refine and refine again the Prophet so that all that is important to them is Yahweh, His will, His ways and the culmination of His Kingdom. Some might see this as being self-righteous or something of the like, but that is an attitude that the Prophet has to put up with from people of this world, and those in the Kingdom who live worldly lives.

As was mentioned above, the Prophet has the ability to look back on his former life and to see the awful wretch that they were before they came to Yeshua in faith. We are able to compare that life with our new life in Yeshua. When one can do this they are able to realize how truly blessed they are and how loved they are by Yahweh. This causes the prophet to fall even more in love with Yahweh then they were the day before. This can sort of be related to someone who has had many bad relationships in the past. Many men have had a lot of bad experiences in dating less than adequate females and many females have had the same deal with dating horrible men. However, when you find that one true love you love them and you respect them because they are who you have been searching for all of these years. Every day you seem to love your spouse more and more and when you think that they have filled up your cup with love they come along and even more love into your cup and it overflows exceedingly much. The prophet loves Yahweh in such a manner. Every day we see Yahweh work in our lives and in the lives of others that we know and love and it causes us to love Him ever so much more.

Prophets must possess Humbleness:

One of the greater attributes of a person who is sold out to Yahweh is that they are humble. Only a humble heart can listen to Yahweh and only a humble heart can accept the Will of Yahweh, even when it doesn't make sense to our flesh.

I am very leery when a person walks around with a prophetic badge on their lapel. No, there really isn't such a badge, but I am referring to those who go out of their way to announce that they have the prophetic gift. When I see this I am often reminded of those who have have college degrees who demand that you people insert a title before or after their names. I am reminded of a pharmacist that I met when I was in school who was one of my instructors. He had gotten a doctorate in pharmacy and bore the title Pharm-D, or Doctor of Pharmacy behind his name. As a result, all of those who met him were required to insert "Doctor" before his name. This went on ad-nausea until many of us felt that we needed a real medical doctor to give us medicine to stop the urge to vomit that we had because of this man's pride.

I mentioned earlier my encounter with the fellow on our chatroom who made it well known that he was an apostle. I also mentioned that when challenged about his prescribing technique for colloidal silver he cursed me and left the room. This was not an act of humbleness, but one of a prideful man who was forced to lay his pitiful hand of cards on the table. This sort of things happens in prophetic circles. If any person claiming to be a prophet feels insulted or gets mad at you when you question a word, or vision or dream that they represent, then you should seriously question if the message is from Yahweh. The only reason why a person gets mad at such things is because their ego has been bruised and if their ego is bruised then it is a message from them, and not a message from El Elyon.

There are scriptures that speak of the aspects of any person that Yahweh purposes to use for a prophetic calling, or any calling for that matter. Here are four such scriptures:

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? Micah 6:8

And:

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Psalm 34:18

And:

Thus says the LORD: “Heaven is My throne, And earth is My footstool. Where is the house that you will build Me? And where is the place of My rest? For all those things My hand has made, And all those things exist,” Says the LORD. “But on this one will I look: On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, And who trembles at My word. Isaiah 66:1-2

And:

Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
1 Peter 5:5-6

Time and time again we see that Yahweh requires the opposite of what the world requires for success. The world requires a prideful self made person; one who can lead people through cunning deceit, getting respect through power. Yahweh demands a humble and contrite person that he can mold into what He needs for His Kingdom.

One more thing that we should consider. If a so called prophet is not humble, but exhibits pride then we have to seriously doubt that the word that they deliver comes from Yahweh. Since Yahweh "resists the proud" then the only conclusion that we can come to is that the prideful person is not hearing from Yahweh. With this in mind, the message can only come from one of two sources; the prideful flesh of the so called prophet, or the forces of darkness; there is really no other conclusion that could be made. This is why we are told in scripture that we are to test all spirits!

Prophets Are Established In Faith Long Before Their Office Comes Into Fruition:

We live in an age where we have the ability to get many things almost instantly. We go onto the internet and get our news instantly. Companies promise fast service. We can go through the drive-thru and get fast food and we can even have our prescriptions fills in record time. We can get instant refunds on our taxes and we can pay our bills online in a matter of minutes. Well here is a newsflash; Yahweh doesn't work like that.

Yahweh created the life cycle of animals and men for many reasons. One of those reasons is so that He can show us that things must take a progression in order to be fulfilled. One is born a baby; helpless and in need of constant care. Then we progress to childhood where we learn at home, in school and in life's school. We become teenagers and then become adults. Even when we reach adulthood many of us are still immature. The majority of you reading this know that most people in their early twenties aren't exactly mature. All in all, most agree that people do not become mature (mentally or socially) until around age thirty.

With these fact in hand how can they be applied to the progress of a believer in Yeshua and faith? Well, we all start out as infants in faith. We are new and vulnerable and we need the constant nurturing of mature believers in Yeshua. We mature and go through our awkward age, making what are sometimes bad decisions and constantly testing the waters so to speak. We progress even further, experiencing Yahweh and what he has to offer. We sit and learn, and just like a teenager wants to get out of the home and be on their own; we yearn to have our own ministry blessed by Yeshua. We have worked as apprentices under the authority of mature believers in a variety of ministries and we desire to have our own place in the Kingdom of Yahweh.

However, just like our physical brains aren't mature until thirty, so too we are not really prepared to take on the responsibilities of ministry until we reach the thirty year mark. By the time we are thirty we are for the most part mentally, spiritually and socially mature. I can remember when I was in my twenties. I was born again at age twenty and I felt the Ruach Ha Kodesh working in my life all throughout my twenties. But I was immature in many ways. I think that all young men and women in their twenties, irregardless of how close they are walking with Yahweh, all struggle with sexual urges. It was not until I was thirty or close to that age that I realized that sex was a very small part of the human experience. In fact it is an encumbrance to our walk with Yeshua. When I was in my twenties I liked cars and other material things a great deal. It was not until I was in my thirties that I realized that as long as it had four wheels and ran good it would be sufficient. There were other things but I think that the idea has been brought forth adequately.

So, knowing from what we see in scripture about ministers we have to deduce that a person has to have a time of growth in faith before they can move into most ministries. The disciples had three years of schooling by Yeshua before they were able to move in the office of Apostle. Some might question the Apostle Paul's rapid rise to apostle and they might point out that there was very little time between his conversion on the road to Damascus and his ministerial work. We can't forget who Paul was before his conversion. Paul was a Pharisee, taught by the great Rabbi Gamaliel. This Gamaliel was a high figure in the Sanhedrin in Yerushalayim. Imagine that you are taught to be an evangelist by the likes of Billy Graham and you can imagine the education that Paul received. After his conversion the Bible says that he stayed for a length of time with the disciples that lived in Damascus.

We don't know that amount of time that Paul sat and learned from the disciples of Damascus but the Bible tends to give the impression that it wasn't very long before he was in the synagogues in that region preaching Yeshua as the Son of Elohim. One can only imagine that the disciples helped Paul to realize how Yeshua fulfilled the Torah and the Prophets. It could probably be compared to learning the mechanics of flight and then being allowed to pilot the space shuttle in that you learned the theory behind flight and then you graduate to the most awesome flight machine ever manufactured. Of course our little scenario cannot measure up to the infinitely higher blessing that Paul was given.

We now come to the question of how old a person must be in order for Yahweh to use them in their ministerial office. We glean some knowledge by looking to scripture for answers; and we find answers:

From thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all that enter into the host, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation. Numbers 4:3

So we see that the priests and Levites had to be a certain age in order to perform their ministerial duties. Many don't realize that Melech David, aside from being a king was also a prophet. He began his reign as Melech Yisrael at age thirty as we see below:

David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years.  2 Samuel 5:4

Interestingly enough, if one does a study of the kings of Yehuda and Yisrael it is found that many of them started their reign while in their thirties. Even our Adoni, Yeshua didn't start his ministry on Earth until he was thirty years old, as mentioned in the scripture below:

And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased. And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,..... Luke 3:22-23

We mentioned earlier in this document that just as there is a progression in life, there is a progression in ministry. While we don't hold the Jewish Rabbinic writing to be God inspired or Ruach Ha Kodesh authored, we can look at them from time to time to get a idea of what life was like during the time of Yeshua. There is a passage in the Mishnah; in Avot 5:21 that tells about the progression of education and life for the Jewish male. This text dates back to around AD 100. The text is as follows:

At five years of age, one is ready for the study of the Written Torah, at ten years of age for the study of the Oral Torah, at thirteen for bar mitzvah, at fifteen for the study of halachot (rabbinic law books), at eighteen for marriage, at twenty for pursuing a vocation, at thirty for entering one's full vigor... Avot 5:21

In the establishment of Jewish oral tradition in regard to the pursuit of life we notice that the first eighteen years are to be dedicated to the study of religion. The definition of "vocation" is as follows:

1 a : a summons or strong inclination to a particular state or course of action; especially : a divine call to the religious life b : an entry into the priesthood or a religious order

So, according to the Rabbinic tradition, at the age of twenty the individual is to start ministerial pursuits. This doesn't mean that the man dives right into ministry, but that he takes on an apprenticed role, sort of a helper status to a seasoned individual with a promise of ministerial office at the age of thirty. We notice that at the age of thirty the apprentice turns out as a full fledged minister; having studied in earnest for ten years his religious or priestly calling.

Looking at things from a common sense point of view we see that at the age of thirty maturity is finally reached. Scientific studies have proved time and time again that the human brain isn't fully developed until between the ages of 23 to 27 years. In other words, at these ages, or between these ages an individual cannot correctly reason. One of the reasons why military recruiters like to recruit kids right out of high school is that they cannot rightly think to question motives and actions. They're more impressionable and can be molded much more easily. Over the age of thirty people tend to question authority because they've been alive long enough to have developed street smarts, so to speak. At the age of eighteen a person can more easily attack an enemy without thinking about what they are doing. An older man would think about the enemy; perhaps that their adversary has a wife and kids just like he does and they would think that the war was brought about by politicians who sit in the safety of fancy marble buildings thousands of miles away from harm. Anyway, I think that the point has been made.

A believer in Yeshua who is over thirty is more mature and might have better ability to hear what Yahweh is saying. Maturity brings patience and mature people usually won't rush into things without thinking or praying about it and they wait for Yahweh to answer. Mature people can more easily discern between what is flesh and what is spirit. Maturity also brings a life that has learned patience. Young people tend to act spontaneously and jump the gun in their decision making. Patience comes from having been taught patience by Yahweh who wants us to be actively yearning for His Kingdom purposes, but also waiting for the leading of the Ruach Ha Kodesh on the matters of Yahweh.

True Prophets Know The Seriousness Of Their Office:

When one looks at the prophetic community in our current age one sees a tragic group of people who are akin more to the gods of mythology than to Children of Yahweh. They banter about like a special group that is separated from the rest of the Kingdom of Yahweh; thinking that their gift is more prized than the other offices of the Ruach Ha Kodesh. They broadcast their prophecies and words of knowledge like a mythological god throwing bolts of lightning to and fro in an effort to bring about subjugation of sinners everywhere.

The fact is that when a true prophet delivers a Word from Yahweh it is done with a humbleness and a fear of Yahweh that really cannot be explained in words. Messages from Yahweh are serious business and they need to be treated that way. A prophet that brings a word of warning to a brother or sister should agonize over that word. I've felt this feeling several times and it is a hard one to handle. There is a feeling that the message is of utter importance and it has to be delivered. The prophet feels Yahweh's heart and his love for the person as well as his sadness of what will happen if the word is not heeded. The prophet can also feel a sadness for the person getting the message; sort of an empathy because they know the outcome of the unheeded word and they feel the lost feeling that will occur if the person doesn't do the wise thing. It is really hard to understand these feelings unless you've felt them and trying to describe them is very hard. I cannot adequately describe them here but have made a feeble attempt to do so. There is a good note to all of this though. Because the prophet feels these things it causes him or her to fall down on their knees and pray for the person receiving the prophetic word. It is a supplication prayer that is prayed and they pray it like they're are praying for themselves if they were in dire straits.

I had to deliver a word of warning and correction to a man that I had met just a few times. It was a very hard word and to make thing harder, Yahweh told me that the man would not accept the word and the same man would try to make my life and ministry difficult because the man would spread lies about me. All of these things happened but by the grace of Yahweh I persevered. It is a sad and difficult thing to see a person who refuses to be circumspect about things in their lives and who becomes even harder when presented with life saving words.

How Should We Treat False Prophets?

Sometimes when I visit the prophetic sites and I see all of the inconsistency there my spirit starts to grieve. Did you ever have one of those relatives that acts up during big family get-togethers? They seem to act up all of the time but during times when the family gets together or when the family is in the midst of other people this relative delights in making an ass out of themselves and they make the family embarrassed. Well, this perfectly describes some of the prophetic sites. It is a family get together but many of the relatives are acting like buffoons as they try to better the other relatives with their prophetic prowess. Now I don't know if Yahweh gets embarrassed, but if He does then this would be the perfect platform for Him to become so.

In the days of old, before the age of grace Yahweh didn't put up with false prophets. He knew that those who offer false words, visions and dreams do a lot to leading people astray. He was so adamant about people not acting in this manner that He made it a capital crime for anyone who misrepresented His name by offering foreign prophecies. In Deuteronomy Yahweh speaks His heart about the matter:

But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. Deuteronomy 18:20

Contrary to popular thought, Yahweh's prophets in the Old Covenant didn't always speak judgments against the people. Through His prophets, Yahweh would address the issue at hand, let people know about his displeasure with their actions; then he'd pronounce judgment for the sins of the people but he would also offer a good outcome should the people repent of their sins and turn back to Him. Yahweh promised a lot of grace to Israel and Judah should they repent. In many cases He knew that they would not repent, but He had to be fair and offer them a way out, which they rarely took.

False prophets utter predictions and give warnings to serve their own flesh. We've all seen people who are attention getters. They will do all sorts of things and say any manner of things in order to turn attention upon themselves. Many parents with more than one child can attest that their kids fall into one of two characters. For instance, one child will be the prideful one that will do anything to get his or her parent's attention. On the flip side there is always one child that is mellow, humble and easy going who would rather just live life and not receive accolades or be noticed much. The false prophet falls into the first category. If people are listening to them or they have power over people then they are happy. If people ignore them they start to cause a ruckus to turn attention back to them. This is a serious pride problem that needs to be addressed and dealt with or else it will lead to the destruction of the individual, his or her walk with Yahweh and their eternal security.

Many times false prophets will rule a person or a people with harsh words that they claim come from Yahweh. This causes fear and anxiety within a community as the people struggle in vain to find a problem that doesn't exist and fix it as they wait for the next word from the prophet, hoping that that word will offer some solace from Yahweh.  Thankfully, Yahweh foreknew all of this and he provided a solution to this dilemma, as we read in Deuteronomy:

When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him. Deuteronomy 18:22

Yahweh tells the people to call the bluff of the false prophet. Basically, He is saying that the people should wait out the prophecy and see if it comes true. If the prophecy doesn't come to fruition, which it wouldn't do because it didn't come from Yahweh, then the people would know that they need not fear the prophet. They would know that he was not from Yahweh and they would also know that they could perform the capital punishment upon the false prophet and wouldn't have to fear that they were stoning a legitimate prophet of Yahweh.

A serious question arises when it comes to how the Fellowship of Yeshua is supposed to deal with false prophets. We're currently living in an age of grace that will someday soon end. What do we do with those who pridefully give out false prophetic utterences, claiming that they come from the God of Abraham, Yitzak and Ya'akov? Scripture forbids those who follow Yeshua from carrying out capital punishment against such people. What are we suppose to do though?

Yahweh was faithful to address this subject in the Epistles of Paul. In the book of Titus we read Paul's words on the matter:

For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake. One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, the Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies. This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth. Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. Titus 1:10-16

In our dealing with such people we have to follow some of the instruction from the Old Covenant. We are to listen to the prophecy and wait for it to come into fruition. When it doesn't we then can follow the instructions of Paul in Titus. We approach the false prophet and we call him or her a false prophet. We explain how we came to that conclusion and point out to them that their prophecy was not of Yahweh because it never came into being. We can hope that the person has some humility left in them and if they possess humility then they will become circumspect, ask Yahweh for forgiveness and spend a long time in the restoration process.

There will be those who are so full of pride and fleshly desires that they will not admit that they are false prophets. In that case we are to do what Paul instructs in his book to the Roman Church.  He told them:

Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. Romans 16:17-18

Okay, so there are some of you who are wondering how just ignoring a person or avoiding them will bring them to the realization that they are false prophets. Well, first of all you have showed them the evidence and they have ignored it. They're not going to listen to what you have to say thereafter. Paul instructs us that we are to speak to them through silence. Silence is an effective tool. Did you ever have someone whom you love or respect give you the silent treatment? Remember how it hurt? Well, imagine a person who is an attention getter; someone who will do anything to have an audience; and they are ignored and treated like they are not there. Such treatment is devastating to a prideful and self-absorbed person.

In addition to above, it is imperative that we warn other brothers and sisters to avoid this person. An unrepentant false prophet is like a virus. If they are shunned by a community they will look for other communities to hoodwink. Many work communities operate in this manner. In the medical realm it is common for word to get out very fast when a person has broken the law or if they are a bad employee. It is almost impossible to get a job locally if one commits an infraction or is just a plain jerk. Prospective employers always seem to call previous employers to get a handle on a person's work ethic and attitude too. If the Church of Yeshua would operate in this manner then a lot of headaches would be avoided for sure. Paul offered such a warning to Timothy:

Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works: Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words. 2 Timothy 4:14-15

There is an adjunct that works well when dealing with such a person. One of the reasons why Paul tells us to avoid such people is because it bruises their ego. But another reason is that you are really wasting your breath talking to someone who will not change. If you are intent on talking to them it causes you to become frustrated and that could lead to sin. So, it is wise to pray for the person. You cannot change them, but Yahweh can bring them to their knees and to repentance. But how do you pray?

We are becoming more and more convinced that when believers in Yeshua pray, we sometimes pray too much. We are convinced too that in focused prayers we may sometimes be praying against the will of Yahweh. We cannot see things from Yahweh's perspective and we don't know what His ultimate will is in every situation. Let's look at a hypothetical situation. Let's say that two people are believers in Yeshua and they are husband and wife. The wife becomes ill with an autoimmune disease that makes her life miserable. She approaches death's door several times but always seems to recover. The people that she loves come together often to pray for her and their prayer is that she is healed immediately and delivered from the sickness. They pray every day of every week of every month of every year for her healing and she is never healed. Now let's say that we could know what Yahweh knows. He knows that when the woman is sixty years old she will receive a healing and that it will be hailed even in secular circles as a miracle. Because of this miracle her doctor which started following her case the year before comes to faith in Yeshua. Later his entire family comes to faith in Yeshua. One of this man's sons becomes an evangelist, another son becomes a pastor and a third son was born to be one of the two witnesses in Revelation.

Now it is plain to see that although we prayed all of those years for our sister who was very sick, our prayers for her quick healing were not answered because we were praying against the will of Yahweh. Had Yahweh answered our prayers, the doctor would have never had this woman as his patient and perhaps he would have never seen the miracle and he would hot have asked Yeshua into his heart. His sons would have never come to Yeshua and the Kingdom of Yahweh would never get a wonderful evangelist or a faithful pastor; and would the son that became one of the witnesses in Revelation would have missed his calling.

Now I know that what we have imagined probably could not have happened, at least to my Calvinist beliefs because everyone is born to fulfill a destiny that was written down before the foundation of the world. I only wanted to use it as an analogy of how we could actually pray against the will of Yahweh. The more that my wife and I walk with Yeshua, the more we realize that the words of Yeshua in what is called the Lords Prayer, are so important. In that prayer, we're encouraged to pray for our daily needs, for forgiveness and Yahweh's leading in our lives. But the important words, at least important for our purpose here, is "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven." We're simply to pray that Yahweh's will be done in all situations. And let me ask everyone something; how can we ever go wrong by asking for His will to be done. It is going to be done anyway and we state that we want to see it and that we will be joyful when we see His will done.

So how does this apply to the false prophet and Yahweh's justice being performed in this matter? Well, we're already told to speak to the false prophet and to call him a false prophet; judging him by his bad fruit. If he repents, then hallelujah. If not we're supposed to cast a blow on his/her ego by just ignoring them and their prophecies. We have to remember though that Yahweh is the only one who get through to wicked and deceitful hearts. He got through to all of us right? So since this is the case, then praying for His will in this person's life and in their false ministry and in their final outcome is a win-win situation. Whatever Yahweh's decision and will in the matter, we were obedient by following His instructions in this matter. If sometime down the road the false prophet repents and is reconciled to Yahweh then hallelujah. If they persist in their abomination then it is Yahweh's job to take whatever means He sees as being necessary to solve the problem.

A WARNING ABOUT THE GIFT HORSE

We've all heard the phrase from time to time, "don't look a gift horse in the mouth." I did a little search on the internet and found that the phrase actually means, "don't be ungrateful when you receive a gift." For the most part this is good advice and should be heeded. However, how are we supposed to react when we are given a gift from people who have malicious thoughts and deeds that they want to gift us with.

If anyone hasn't looked, the world is a horrible place filled with worldly people; most of which are intent on selfish gain. Sure there are still a few people who through their flesh try to attain some sort of righteous air about them, but most people alive today don't care anymore about their neighbor or genuine love and charity. I know of a man who has a relative who has a lot of money and this rich man claims that he does a lot of nice things for people. Truth be told, he does a lot of nice things, but almost everything that he does is done with a condition that the kind deed never goes unremembered. Once this man made a large donation to some good cause and that he would give the money on condition that they would name a wing of their building after him and put his name on the side of the building. Good things were done for the relatives of this man but he made it known that the things that he did were to pay the relatives back for good works that they did for this man in the past.

People all over the world have an entity that promises to do wonderful things for them. The entity in question is the governments of each and every land. One such entity is the U.S. Government. People in the States have known for many years that accepting anything from this juggernaut always comes with conditions. Businesses have known for years that when they open they must get licenses and other permissions from the state and local governments and they have to file their business with the Internal Revenue Service. Many organizations and even individuals take money from the government in the way of grants which puts them directly under the authority of the U.S. Government.

Many years ago the U.S. Government started a practice that made any business or institution that took government money a slave to the government. I guess that people just didn't read their Bibles because if they had they would have read a passage that states:

The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender. Proverbs 22:7

In normal situations this would mean that if a person borrows from another person or a financial institution then they would be a servant in that they were obligated to pay back the loan, most times with usury. Aside from being held to a promissory note to pay back the money borrowed, one paid back the lender an extra percentage as a gratuity for the lender's services.

Let's look at a automobile loan. A financial institution like a bank or a credit union lends you twenty five thousand dollars to buy that car you've had your eye on. They tell you that they will give you the money if you will promise to pay them a percentage of that money as interest, or usury. You agree and aside from the payment that you promise to pay you are expected to maintain the car and carry insurance in case of loss. This is fair to most people. The U.S. government works in the same way but they expand their expectations much more. They know that you have a business so they require that you need to hire on a quota basis. They tell you that you need to hire so many people from what they consider races. If you have twenty employees in your business you can have a certain percentage of Caucasians, a certain percentage of negro's and a certain percentage of Hispanics.

In the past businesses reluctantly followed the quota guideline and it showed the government the good faith of the employer. Many people do not believe that they have some sort of connection to the government that would make them a servant to the government. There might be a small minority of cases where that might be true, but if you dig deep enough or investigate thoroughly enough you can find some connection. Take for instance the stimulus checks that were sent out during the Bush Administration. The U.S. Government sent checks to just about every tax payer in the hopes that it would stimulate the economy, thinking that people would spend the money and boost the economy. Everyone who cashed their check automatically placed themselves under the government. All persons who took the money established a friendship with the U.S. Government whether they realized it or not. When you come to the honest conclusion that government is akin to the Mafia you will understand this concept.

Imagine a Mafia boss coming up to you and giving you five hundred dollars. You don't know this man but he is giving you the money and he might even tell you that there are no strings attached. Two years later this same man comes up to you and tells you that he needs a favor. He asks you to put some of his money into the bank under your name for a little while. He even tells you that you can keep the interest. Most people will honor his request, even if they feel uncomfortable about it for one or two reasons. The first reason is that you feel obligated to this man. Unknowingly, this man became your friend when you took his generous offer two years ago. He washed your back and now he wants you to reciprocate. Perhaps your thinking is a bit more attuned and you come to the second conclusion. You remember that this guy is in the Mafia. Whether you like it or not, you placed yourself under his authority when you accepted the money two years prior and you know that refusal to take his present offer will somehow affect your health in a negative way.

The IRS is another way to see that the government is like the Mafia. In this scenario you are a business owner in the city and your business is making money. One day you get a visit from a guy that looks sort of menacing. He looks around your store and then asks you how business is. You tell him that things are going good and that financially you are in the black. This man then tells you that the neighborhood is rough and that he will offer you protection. He tells you that for a certain percentage of your income he will make sure that nothing bad happens to you or your store. You decline the offer and tell the man to leave. That same night two thugs come into your store; they rob you and break your legs. A week you are visited in the hospital by the first man who tells you that you wouldn't be in your current state of health if you just accepted the offer. You now see the light and make a deal with the mobster.

Now imagine that you're a common everyday run of the mill blue collar worker. You turn out of your apprentice school and start making journeyman money. You see that the government is taking an excess of money out of your check for taxes that are used to fund things that you are opposed to. They fund abortion and the government sends money to countries that are sworn to destroy your nation and your way of life. You talk to your payroll person and tell them that you are opposed to paying taxes and somehow you fanagle a way to not pay all of the taxes that they demand that you pay. Soon you start getting letters from the IRS that tell you that you are delinquent in taxes and you are required by law to pay your money to them. You go to the local IRS office and tell them that you are opposed to paying taxes because the government uses the money for unrighteous purposes. You don't want to see your money used for these things. The IRS agent tells you that if you pay your taxes you will live a life free from harassment from the IRS. If you just do what you are told you will not be harassed. However, if you don't pay your protection money (oops, sorry; I meant taxes) you will incur penalties and interest and sooner or later you will be thrown into prison. Now you see that government and the Mafia are much akin to each other. Do you still think that you live in the land of the free?

So what does all of this have to do with "looking a gift horse in the mouth?" In the news it was recently reported that the government is considering "forcing" everyone to get a H1N1 (swine flu) vaccination this coming autumn. Of course the word "forcing" was never used, but they did say that they would "require" everyone to have the immunization.

Depending on your age, and if you are fifty years old or older you can probably remember that as school children we were sent home when we had anything that looked like a common cold or worse. Our parents lived in an age when someone had a communicable sickness they stayed home and in the case of Polio epidemics the home was quarantined with a big sign on the door proclaiming the quarantine. Back then they took these things seriously.

In the supposed upcoming H1N1 pandemic that is being forecast it would be much wiser to take a few safeguards. If one feels sick they should be required to stay home from work and school. If a pandemic does occur then travel should be restricted from nations where the flu is epidemic. People passing through international ports, airports and of course national borders should be screened for flu symptoms. These things are easy and sensible.

What is not sensible is to "force" people to inject a virus into their bodies. If you read the news sources that tell the truth (i.e. Drudge Report; World Net Daily; et.al.) then you have probably read that there have been some very disturbing side effects from the H1N1 vaccine; the worse of which are neurological disorders and even death. If it turns out that the public is required (forced) to accept the injection then each person must weigh the consequences of their actions. You could acquiesce to the demands of a very evil government and risk death; or you could ride out the storm and risk whatever penalties that will come with refusal of an edict from a tyrannical government.

Speaking personally, and for my wife; we both had H1N1 and although it was a bad flu, I have survived much worse. A common sense approach like drinking lots of clear liquids, taking aspirin (worked wonders for me), and getting a lot of bed rest worked wonders for us. I had a fever for about six days and then some lingering aftereffects for about a week more. I've always been a "walk it off" sort of person when it comes to health problems. My philosophy has always been to endure things because with Yahweh's help and the regenerative nature of our bodies we can muddle through almost anything for a length of time.

Personally, I will refuse the vaccine. First, I have already had H1N1 and I have the antibodies to fight off another infection. Second, I've never been the sort of person to listen to a governmental body when they tell me what to do; that is for the most part anyway. Third, any prosecution that they can bring to us for rejecting this malevolent flu vaccine will be much easier to endure than the possible nervous system disorders and death one could get by listening to Obama and his Brown Shirts. As usual, we'll just trust Yahweh Yeshua in this matter.

A REVELATION ABOUT BANK BAILOUT PAYBACK

Well, I don't know if anyone else has been having a hard time with their bank lately, but we sure have. Now let me tell you something. I always pay my bills on time and as far back as I can remember, I haven't ever been in the red where my checking or savings accounts are concerned. That however has changed, at least where the bank accounts are concerned.

I have been a Bank of America customer for as long as I can remember. I have liked them over the years and I have defended them against people who have told me horror stories about their encounters with BofA. One of the things that I have always liked about their electronic banking feature is that 99 percent of the time, when I make a purchase using my ATM/Visa card the amount is recorded on my account by the time that I can get home to visit it. I have liked that they deduct the amount from my total right away. It has always allowed me to know my account balance and that has helped me to know right up to the minute my actual balance and what I have to work with in regard to further spending.

Recently though I have noticed that something screwy has been happening. It seemed that some of those vendors which I used my card with were slacking, or at least I thought they were. After looking at this for a couple months I have noticed that the BofA was doing something that isn't Kosher at all. Take for instance the Arco gas station where I always gas up. I can gas up and by the time that I get home the amount of my purchase is recorded on my online account view page. This has been true one hundred percent of the time. It doesn't matter if I gas up on a week day or a weekend or if it is in the morning or in the evening.

So you could imagine my angst when I checked my account status the very night of this writing to find that I was $98.00 in the red. I had gassed up on Saturday and according to the man at the BofA phone help center the Arco vendor didn't post the transaction until Monday. According to them this was true for other vendors who I deal with all of the time and who post my transactions immediately.

I talked to this nice young man who will remain anonymous so that he doesn't get the axe for talking to me. I say this because he actually agreed with me about many things, although he couldn't help me to clear up the mess. During the course of our conversation it finally hit me. A revelation came to me like a bolt out of the blue. Banks like BofA and others have to pay the government back somehow for the bailout that they received earlier this year. What better way to do that then to hold back transactions so that customers will overdraw their accounts and then be charged overdraft fees. I told my phone line banking friend about my revelation and then was floored by what he said next. This young man told me these very words, "the banks are being told things to do by certain people and they are forced to do what they are told." He then went into a diatribe about how the banking world was changing and how the goal was to push for one central bank and that things (I assumed he was talking about unjust things) would happen to customers for this central bank thing to come about.

Well, I felt sort of bad for this young man. He was telling me all of these things and I wanted to stop him because I know that they record conversations for "quality control" and they were probably listening. However, I was so fascinated by what this man was telling me that I could not persuade myself to warn him to stop. When asked about faith he denied that he was religious and said that he really hated religions, which I agreed with and I mentioned to him that this is why I like to have a relationship with Yeshua; it is not religion.

Thinking that I needed to come up with a c-note to get myself in the clear I proceeded with the only viable alternative. My credit card company often sends out what looks like counter checks when they send me a statement. I have never liked to use these things because it just puts you more in the hole with the creditor but this was an emergency. Having written the check I went to bed.

The next day I went to the bank after leaving work to pay the vampires their mammon food. The person at the teller window in front of me sounded agitated and I some how found solace in that. It seemed that I was not the only person the BofA was messing with. When it was my turn I went up to the window and told the teller that it sounded like it was complaint day at BofA. She became defensive and told me that the man's issue was not the bank's fault but the man's fault. I then told the woman that I was a little ticked at what the bank had done to me. Her response was, "well, that's just too bad." I gave the woman the check and told her that I would now be in the black again. She looked at me and told me that the balance was different than I thought it was, and she announced that I was not $238.00 in the red. I told her that this could not be because I hadn't done any transactions with the card for a few days. She asked me if I wanted to speak to a bank representative, and after looking at the line of people waiting to see him I just laughed and told the woman that I would handle it from home on the telephone.

I got home and Lourdes noticed that I was a bit peeved and she asked me what was wrong. I laid out the rest of the story for her and then I picked up the phone to call BofA. When the phone was finally answered I had a woman representative on the phone. Now please don't hate me for what I'm about to say; but I have never had much success at resolving issues when a woman is on the other end. I suspect that many women feel that they need to live to a more rigid standards primarily because they want to break through the glass ceiling that is in most big companies and organizations. I don't fault the women for this, but when I hear a female voice it all but tells me that I've lost and should give up.

This lady had me open up my BofA online account so that we could go through it step by step. She started to read the debits and how each one brought my account a little lower. The funny thing is that what she was reading did not jive with what I was looking at. I told her that there was a difference and she just ignored my. I asked her to verify something that the woman at the bank told me. I noticed that in her reading what she saw in front of her concerning my account BofA was going back even farther, assessing fees in what almost seemed like a retroactive manner. I felt like I was put on some sort of persecution list and that my name had come up finally. All of those years of praising BofA for the wonderful service that I have received finally came crashing down around my feet.

The bank teller told me that in many cases the bank would remove the charges if a customer had been a good customer and didn't default on their account. I told the woman on the phone that I fell into that category and she said that she would check with someone to see if this could be done. She put me on hold and came back about four seconds later. She told me that it was impossible to take off the charges. I told her that it seemed that it didn't pay to be a conscientious customer if there were no perks for good behavior. I told her that it was obvious that BofA was not willing to work with me, mainly because I was a small customer. I asked her if there were any other charges that BofA would slap me with; something like "a late fee for not paying my overdraft fees; after which I laughed. She told me that as a matter of fact there was and that BofA would assess me another $35.00 if I did not pay the balance in whole before closing time the next day. I told her that having come from North Jersey I had seen a lot of Mafia activity and that BofA was stooping to the same tactics only they could do it under protection of the law. I ended the call by saying that I knew that they were giving me this treatment because I was a small guy in the money realm and they knew that they could get away with it. I told her that someday I would have quite a substantial amount to deposit in a bank and when that time came I would not choose BofA to handle my banking affairs.

So anyway, I just wanted to warn all of you that the banks are much more unscrupulous than they used to be. They're out to put the screws to us and if we keep our money in their vaults we will probably lose some of it. My new young banking friend told me that he intended to get out of the banking system altogether and that he didn't trust them anymore. I advise that you keep a close watch on your account and don't think that your transactions will be instantaneous anymore. Where the vendors are concerned, they probably post the transactions right away, but bet your bippy that the banks will hold them back if they see that your account is low and they can get fees from you. One has to wonder if this is some sort of persecution that is coming against Believers in Yeshua? In the 1930's one of the first things that the Nazi's did in Germany was to confiscate cash and precious metals from the Jewish people. Next they were given a choice to leave Germany, but even then they had their money taken from them by unscrupulous immigration and customs people In effect, they could not leave Germany. The next step in the process was to put the Jews on railcars and take them to the concentration camps.

Well, what can we get out of all of this? The first warning would be to watch your money very carefully. If you have online banking then go online every day to check to see if the scoundrels are messing with it. Know for sure that if the employees in a bank are sarcastic or demeaning toward you that this is an attitude that is allowed to happen. Because of gravity, everything tends to flow downhill. So, if the employee is disrespectful then her manager probably is. If the manager is disrespectful then his area supervisors probably are. We can follow the whole attitude flow upriver to the corporate level. This tends to be the rule but there are exceptions of course.

I have to admit that there are times such as this that I want to live by an Mosaic Covenant manner. It is the natural tendency of humans to want immediate justice and sometimes even believers in Yeshua fall into that mold. When this was happening Lourdes and I prayed and I asked that Yahweh would bring about justice in all of this. I mentioned about how there is a curse upon BofA and immediately she started to correct me. I cited to her that by their actions they had brought a curse upon themselves by their actions. I explained that there is a special blessing over descendants of Abraham (and all true followers of Yeshua) because of a promise given to Abraham one lonely night in the desert of Canaan. That promise is:

And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. Genesis 12:3

There are those who would contend that this is not true anymore; that it was only to Abraham. However many forget that Yahweh's promises are eternal and those who are Abraham's seed, whether it be by physical or spiritual lineage, the promise still exists. So in essence, even though I would like instant justice I can just sit back and know that Yahweh will pay back BofA for me. And the retribution isn't just for my case, but for every Jew and/or believer in Yeshua who has been touched in a negative way by the BofA plague.

When we realize that the promise of Yahweh is on our lives we can then find it much more easier to practice what Yeshua told us to do:

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Matthew 5:44

When you know that Yahweh is fighting for you it is easy to sit back and watch what he is doing. On the flipside of that there is a certain air of sorrow that comes to the heart. We know that it isn't a good idea to get on Yahweh's bad side:

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Hebrews 10:31

When we read the accounts of Hell from the Biblical text and also from those who have been there and returned, we know that it is a terrible place. From the illustrations we can see that it isn't a place that we want our loved ones to go, nor do we want our enemies to go there. An interesting thing that me and many of you too have been shown is that Yahweh almost seems to have his hands tied when it comes to having unforgiveness for our enemies. Sure, Yahweh will have His way and His will shall be accomplished, but it tends to take on a quicker fruition when we are obedient to what Yahweh has told us to do in regard to those who abuse us. Well, this ends our section on the wiles of Bank of America. Now we move on to other things.

REMNANT CALL GOING VERY WELL

We've been having a wonderful time at the Remnant Call Chat Room. Yahweh has been bringing many wonderful brothers and sisters in Yeshua to the room and we've been blessed by each and every one. There are times of lively discussion in which everyone participates and then there are rare times when folks just like to sit and listen. We have troublemakers visit the room on a regular basis and that blesses us too. Their visit serves only to remind us of our calling and how lost and messed up this world truly is.

The Ruach Ha Kodesh has been incredibly cool when it comes to many things in the room, and especially when he gives us discernment about new visitors who come to mix things all up. A couple of weeks ago someone visited the room whom I thought I recognized but wasn't quite sure. If it was the same person they are a Satanist and a problem too. So, I felt the Ruach tell me that I should write the following; "Jesus Christ is God; He is Lord and all others are imposters and frauds." It was as if I had thrown a rock at a beehive because all sorts of blasphemous words came out of this man. After a short time we bounced him from the room and banned him. Our room is for followers of Yeshua and Satanic interlopers are not welcomed. Another purpose was served in that all of the other people in the room came into the discussion and defended Yeshua and the faith in a firm and unwavering manner.

We welcome all followers of Yeshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus Christ) to join us in the room. We are live every Monday and Thursday nights 8:00 PM through 11:00 PM eastern time and 5:00 through 8:00 Pacific time. Monday nights are a free talk and fellowship night where we just sit around and hang out with each other, bring up prayer needs and talk about whatever is on our minds. Thursday nights are lesson nights. Jim Wilhelmsen and I alternate Thursdays and the teachings are deep and insightful, to say the least. Come on in and check us out. We are on Paltalk and our room name is Remnant Call. If you have any questions about how to start a Paltalk account, how to sign on or any other related thing then feel free to contact us. You can write to Jim by visiting his website at www.echoesofenoch.org or to Dave by going to www.delusionresistance.org and going to the contact section. Tambien, si habla Espanol en la Delusion Resistance.

WATCHING YAHWEH WORK WONDERS

One of the many wonderful things about being a follower of Yeshua is to see the miracles that He works in the lives of those that know and love. Lourdes and I both believe that as we move closer and closer to the end of things we will see an increased frequency of miracles, sign and wonders as well as prophetic things like dreams, words and visions. Setting aside the words of those who lack faith and cannot believe in the modern day works of the Ruach Ha Kodesh, we affirm that Yeshua Ha Mashiach is the same, yesterday, today and forever; and His ministry doesn't change just because faithless naysayers shout louder than the rest.

Just last week Lourdes and I were in the pharmacy waiting for prescriptions to be prepared and she noticed that a man was talking on a cell phone and he looked like he was crying. After we got out medications I had to get the truck and I told Lourdes that I would bring the truck around to pick her up. She told me that she wanted to talk to the old man and asked me if it was okay to do so. I told her that if the Ruach Ha Kodesh was telling her to talk to him then she should do so. When I came around the building she wasn't waiting for me so I knew that she was probably talking to the man. She came out and told me that she had talked to the man and found out that he was very sick. She asked him if he believed in Yeshua and he said that he did. She told him that he needed to get his life in order and come back to Yeshua and he promised that he would do so. Then she prayed with the man and came out to the truck and told me all about what Yeshua had used her to do.

Jim Wilhelmsen related a story to me that is quite remarkable. His grandson had somehow broken his arm and his mother took him to the emergency room to be seen and treated. He sat in the chair and sang some new Christian songs that he had just learned at Church Camp. They had just come back from x-ray and they held the film that showed that his arm was broken. While he was sitting there some other parents had wheeled their child into the waiting room. The child's face was full of blood and this touched the heart of Jim's grandson. He walked up to the other boy and prayed for him, that the bleeding would stop and that he would be okay. He then sat back down.

When they called him into the emergency treatment room the boy walked down the hallway pointing up at the ceiling and asking his mother if she saw the beautiful fountain. He just kept pointing over and over again, asking her if she saw it. It didn't take long before they realized that the arm that he was using to point up at the ceiling was the one that had the break; but he had been healed. Well, the doctors were sort of baffled as they usually are and they refused to let them out of the hospital without at least putting a sling on the boy's arm. Jim said that as he listened to his daughter tell the story he cried tears of joy. I told Jim on the phone that he was getting to see his legacy and how Yahweh was working in his family all because he answered the predestined called of Yahweh all of those years ago.

IN CLOSING

Well, so ends another Delusion Resistance Journal. Yeah, I know, it was another long one, but how do you write about Yahweh and all that He does just in a few words?

Lourdes and I would appreciate all of your prayers for health issues. She is still in pain in regard to her Hashimoto's disease, which is under control but damage control after fourteen years of sickness takes its toll sometimes. For the second time in just over a month I am sick and while this isn't like the H1N1 it is still some sort of virus that is causing me angst. We've been ministering to a lot of people and coming against a lot of principalities and powers and rulers and spiritual wickedness in high places; sadly manifest through some within the body of Mashiach. The enemy doesn't like us and is pulling out all the stops to shut us down in many ways, but we're resolute in our fight. Of course we could use your prayers as we recover from the financial mess that BofA just put us through.

We have put our faith in Yeshua, who so beautifully taught his disciples and us too:

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33

We stand on that scripture and pray that you will too in times of adversity. As always, we pray for you, that you will be blessed in mighty ways through the Ruach Ha Kodesh, and that Yahweh Yeshua will grant you all of the blessings that He has for you in His storehouse of blessings He has made just for each and every one of you. Have a wonderful September!! Shalom.

Dave and Lourdes
